HAS BEEN

My first Weekly Beats recording of the year, “Three Clock Problem,” is a simple drone (yeah, yeah, arguably beat-less) I put together in VCV Rack 2. A series of quantized pitches are sent through a reverb that has a wide array of controls. Rather than one consistent clock, there are three clocks, one at a time, that are triggering the quantizing, including whether or not it’s even running. Due to the reverb’s generous spaciousness, there’s never a gap. It’s quite simple. The foundation of this originated from a patch by Omri Cohen. Instalación sonora inspirada en las practicas oraculares de la Antigua Grecia, en tanto que crean a partir de su propia acción/enunciación; algo que también sucede en un acto performático.
Esta autocreación sempiterna de lo oracular se manifiesta siempre en tiempo presente, dado que tiempo y espacio en el universo oracular son la mismísima cosa.
El presente es la totalidad de todo lo que existe. Y todo lo que existe, existe ahora, existe en este espacio, existe en esta sala donde el sonido se proyecta…

Sometimes happiness just happens - a play on words that contains a lot of truth. Sometimes happiness is astonishingly simple to reach.

This track is meant to illustrate that - a rather simple piano-melody enhanced by just layering the same notes played by many different instruments in unison. Hopefully all listeners will enjoy this piece of music.
