Connecting Us To Zero

A short (for me!) piece of layered improvisation using Novation BassStation, Summit, Nord Piano, and Viscount Legend and lots of echoes and reverbs to create a drifting bed to drift off to.  I fall asleep at the drop of a hat, so this is definitely long enough for me, but your mileage may vary ;-)

I took a few seconds from something I was listening to and stretched it out to this length. Then it was duplicated. Using Sliding Stretch, one track was made to drop an octave over its length; the other to rise an octave. So, by the end they are 2 octaves apart. End of experiment  (with an enhanced mix of both tracks added and down-pitched an octave, of course).

Esta pieza es un fragmento del lugar o lugares donde me está llevando últimamente la música. Va empezando a tomar forma duracional, a ser piezas de alrededor de una hora. La serie armónica, el espacio armónico y sus infinitas posibilidades, derivaciones y relaciones, explorada a través de guitarra, arco, ebow, delays, loops y warping, está siendo el lugar donde, a veces, la mente queda en blanco, el oído se abre y el devenir temporal se manifiesta

die ich in einer speziellen konstruktion verbaut habe 
damit sie mir nachts licht zum schreiben spendet
leuchtet verlockend 
auf den gold schimmernden captain morgan
von dem ich eigentlich weiß dass er mein untergang sein wird
nicht heute
aber morgen früh
norwegian wood liegt aufgeschlagen da
ich kann mir sonst nicht mehr die verdammte Seitennummer merken
das bier schmeckt fahl
und diese scheiß uhr tickt als würde es um ihr leben gehen
doch all das zählt nichts
selbst nicht die schuhbürste
zeuge des letzten tages
oder die kronkorken
wie sterne auf meinem schreibtisch verteilt
selbst nicht die letzten liebkosenden worte
des telefonats
dessen Zeuge ich vor kurzem war
können den tag bewahren
in zwölf minuten ist all das geschichte
