Whomp Music and Angus Green are offering you the chance to have your remix featured in Angus Green's upcoming album titled 'Love is Never Enough. This is a great chance for any up and coming producer who wants to take the next step and get their music out to a wider audience.

Conditions: You have one and a half months to complete your remix and submit it into this group [https://soundcloud.com/groups/whomp-music-remix-competition-angus-green-love-is-never-enough]. The competition will end on the 15th of March, at which time a panel of judges including Angus and Kodiak Kid [Head Honcho at Whomp music] will assess each remix based on composition, structure and production.

The winner will have their track included in the album release and may be given the opportunity to work with Whomp again in the future.

Deep, sexy bass ducks and weaves through intricately laced organic drums--thuds and reverberations of animal skins stretched tightly across warm wood. Darkness and light is balanced impeccably amongst hypnotic grooves. The close connection between David Block and Yaygon Lamagaia is instantly recognizable in the depth of attention and care the latter gives to the former's source material. You can catch Kalya Scintilla this Thursday, when he hits Cervantes with Kaminanda for Bluetech's Spacehop stop, and over the weekend at Gem & Jam Festival in Tucson, AZ.

I knew I had to remix it and how I wanted to do it. Usually I end up making many different versions, but this one came together right away. Big thanks to Cage the Elephant for their support!

Having already established themselves as one of the most versatile and ambitious acts around, DC and Hooks break new sonic territory with eight tracks that that cover a wide spectrum of electronic music. Joining the Toronto duo on the record is Twin Shadow for the house anthem”Lost You”. Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Ferrell makes an appearance closing track “Blink.” Also on the EP are Colorado group Big Gigantic & fellow Canadian Omar LinX for the smooth hip-hop cut “Stoned Capone”,  producer and vocalist Bright Lights, New York rapper Sean Price and French DJ/Producer group Dirtyphonics. This is the original version of this song , I particularly liked this one because it was a little rougher than the one released.  I recorded vocals at Rza's studio and at Paul's Coffee shop LI . This version was replaced by the Mars Volta version on the "White People" album recorded at Automator's studio .

Halfred is the culmination of years and years of aural exploration. Originally a drummer, the Italian born sonic warrior found his roots in drumming which led him to music production, along with a degree in electronic music production at SAE, in Milan. His eclectic approach makes it hard to categorize his music and this is partially due to the fact that his sound breaks the often repetitive mold of psy music, seamlessly taking the forms of dub, hiphop, drum n bass, garage, and world music and while staying true to his signature sound and focused on the micro details, he’s constantly experimenting with the squishy and granular side of psychedelic mid-tempo, drum and bass, dubstep, psybass and all things
psychedelic. During last years, he collaborated and remixed top notch artists like Desert Dwellers, Whitebear, Tribone, Zebbler Encanti Experience, Duffrey, Tryptich and had music released on labels such as Merkaba Music, Shanti Planti, Outtallectuals, Gravitas Recordings, Wakaan and more, as well as playing many festivals and nights in the European and North-American scene, such as Boom , Modem, Hadra, Shankra, Tribal Gathering, Own Spirit, Lost Theory, Isis Garden,Street Parade, Create Culture, Infrasound, Wormhole Wednesdays and Cosmic Sinergy Final Fridays.
