Maloua is an East German girl with French roots who grew up in Saxony and has kept coming back ever since. Leipzig has had her for two years now. Before that she was living in Dresden, where she started DJing in the summer of 2019 and organized events together with the KBK.

During the past few years she went through a number of genres and finds this very valuable, as it is a constant source for further development.
At the moment she's mainly grounded in driving house with heavy vocals, but doesn't shy away from mixing across genres, preferably in the direction of breaky, slightly trancey and discoid sounds.

So far Maloua mainly played gigs in Dresden and Leipzig. One highlight for her this year was playing Tarmac festival at our Sencanza floor and certainly she was one of our highlights, when she closed the beautiful stage on a sunny Saturday morning. But she also likes to think back to a few other gigs at Mjut, Sektor or objekt klein a in Dresden and is looking forward to many more great parties with us and you on the dance floor.

The expression Laune (from Latin "luna" - moon) originally describes an influence on people supposedly caused by the change of the moon. Since antiquity, this phase-related changeability of the moon has been used to explain a noticeable or sudden change in mood. Music can also have a similar effect on people's well-being as was already attributed to the moon. Not only can music induce an Elysian high, the magic of it can transform an entire dance floor into a place of energy and effervescent emotions.

When all this comes together and is in harmony, the music drives the dancers and the mood rises immeasurably, one speaks of the “melaunic” phenomenon.

Es gibt eine norddeutsche Sage, die besagt (besagt mit langem "aaaaa"), dass jeden Monat, wenn der silberne Vollmond dem Horizont über dem Meer entsteigt ein penetranter Geruch von fauligem Fisch und gekochten Kartoffeln über die Dünen weht und die Leute aus ihrem wohlverdienten Schlaf reißt. Nun möchte man meinen, dass dies bei den Leuten eher Unmut auslösen sollte, doch weit gefehlt. Erstens ist man im hohen Norden den Geruch von Fisch und Kartoffeln eh gewohnt und zweitens verkündet dieser Geruch allmonatlich die Ankunft des großen DJ Aalmann (@fredaric). Niemand weiß, wo er herkommt, niemand weiß, wo er am nächsten Morgen hingeht, sicher ist nur, dass er seit Jahrhunderten die Fischer*innen in den Küstendörfern einmal im Monat mit seiner wunderbaren Musik beglückt um sie für kurze Zeit die Strapazen der Fischerei vergessen zu lassen. Nun werden manche sagen, dass da ja heutzutage gar niemand mehr wirklich vom Fischfang lebt, aber Kapitalismus ist auch anstrengend und kalt ist es da oben auch, lasst den Leuten also doch bitte diese eine von Musik erfüllte Nacht. Neid ist vor allem echt unangebracht, weil ihr kommt diesen Monat auch in den Genuss der lieblichen Klänge des DJ Aalmann, es gibt also echt keinen Grund so missgünstig zu sein. Also hört jetzt bitte auf damit und hört euch stattdessen lieber das Set an, da haben wir alle mehr von.
