Featured on the second sampler for Lenzman's début LP 'Looking At The Stars'... label mate and real life mate Jubei puts his firm stamp on Lenzman’s 'Empty Promise', The original was a big track for Lenzman and Jubei has taken it by the scruff of the neck and created something all his own whilst keeping the beauty/ beast vibe of the original.

The two minds from the south of the UK return with a 12” that shows all-the prowess that you would expect from the pairing, an original track and much requested for the VIPs only fusing of previous works by Ulterior Motive.

In the great tradition of track fusions within our side of DNB Ulterior Motive give us the AA, a fusing of a previous massive release for Metalheadz- Lost Contact and Forgiven. The track was made as a VIP for the summer festival season just passed only the closest of crew members and as expected caused earthquakes on first airings at Outlook and Sun n Bass to mention a few.

The long awaited Madmen & Poets debut single on Phunkfiction Recordings has finally arrived. The top players from the scene predicted this one to be their breakthrough release. On “Afraid Of Jazz” they transform smoky jazz club vibes into state of the art drum&bass club sound. By using a killer vocal hook line on super groovy beats & bass plus the whole range of authentic jazz instruments, Madmen & Poets essentially prove one thing: they are certainly not afraid. For the remix duty they engaged on of the hottest newcomers on the scene. Lenzman kicks the original into a whole new atmosphere by minimizing the vibe down to pure deepness and dancefloor madness.

Is the beautiful city of York the first place you'd think of finding your new favourite drum & bass artist? Rethink your stereotypes of Medieval northern cities because Tokalosh has made it all the way to Soul Deep with his stunning "For The Listeners" three-track release. From the outset it's clear to see his love for production runs deep, as intricate rhythms and melodies weave together perfectly, clamping in tight with sampled lyrics in "Sick Individual". "It is what It Is" follows a more traditional liquid route with Brazilian soul and a heartbeat of pure sizzling gold. To round of the hat trick, title track "For The Listeners" features the lyrical stylings of Lego and a damn addictive bassline over a happy-go-lucky melody. One to keep an eye on for sure.

Introducing Stryker Matthews, a New York born, London based producer/DJ currently exploring the realms between experimental bass music and club driven house. His hybrid of sounds has seen him grace line ups alongside the likes of L-Vis 1990, Baauer, DJ Sliink, Skream, Dubbel Dutch to name a few and his forthcoming Shook EP on NY's @DoomDab imprint will mark his first official release since his debut single, Binary Shake on Skream's Disfigured Dubz. Taken from the EP, we exclusively present Low Roads, a house/ bass hybrid to hype up the dance. Press play!

The Belgian duo blur the lines between electro, techno and house and have had huge support from all corners of the scene with the likes of Annie Mac, Tiga, Erol Alkan and Boys Noize all pushing their tracks. They have collaborated with the likes of Gustaph of Hercules & Love Affair and Peaches to name a few and now we are delighted to have them grace the i-D mix series.
