At the start of 2012 Sabre, Stray and Halogenix teamed up to drop one of the most blissful pieces of drum & bass that year, ‘Oblique’. ‘Brat’ on the other hand shows the other side to Ivy Lab as the guys get aggy at the controls for a supremely sick peak-time performer. Creeping bleep FX open it up as the b-line seeps into the mix for a drop into some proper dance floor funk. Meticulous on the edits and the morphing bass, it’s a dirty yin to the A-side’s yang.

Dj.Maniac (Official Vestax DJ) BIO since 1995

V roce 1995 objevil Maniac klubovou scénu. Alternativní umění ho natolik silně oslovilo, že se rozhodl hledat cestu, jakým způsobem smysluplně naplnit dny svého života a přitom pozitivně přispět kulturnímu životu. Najít tu správnou cestu nebylo jednoduché. Všechno to začalo u zdi s plechovkou
barvy v ruce. Tehdy se pokoušel vyjádřit své pocity formou barev na šedých betonových plochách od kterých už to přes papír plný textů nebylo příliš daleko k prvnímu rapovému vystoupení na pódiu, jež představovalo další krok na cestě k DJingu. Za 16 let působení navštívil významné evropské kluby jako Rockwerk (De), Club 1210 (De), Dopler (Sk), SaSaZu (Praha), Palác Akropolis (Praha) nebo legendární pražský klub Bunkr a další.
 
V České republice budete jen s těží hledat místo, které Maniac se svou show ještě nenavštívil. Vystupoval po boku světově uznávaných hudebních projektů jako například JAR, Matěj Ruppert (Monkey Business), Daniel Bárta, PSH, Pio Squad, Iron African (Swe), Afura (USA), Kontrafakt (Sk), Jiří Korn, Gypsy.cz, NATO (USA/De), Toxique, Josef Cigánek (Walda Gang), Honza Kirk Běhunek (virtuózní kytarista) a s mnoho dalšími velmi významnými osobnostmi nejen z České hudební scény.
 
Dj.Maniac pravidelně účinkuje na mezinárodním filmovém festivalu Karlovy Vary, v rámci 25.tisícového Hip Hop Kempu, O2 Snowboard Tour  a na dalších Open Air festivalech.

1996 … vzplál plamen vášně pro DJing, který do dnes nevyhasl!

1. gramofon a mixážní pult si za tvrdě vydělané peníze z brigád zakoupil v roce 1996. Tehdy ještě
pod jménem Mc.OnTheBeat udělal Maniac svůj první přechod (mix). Ještě tentýž den, hodinu po
rozbalení krabice od gramofonu vzplál plamen vášně pro DJing, který do dnes nevyhasl! Po roce
tvrdého tréninku se Maniac cítil být plně připravený na vystoupení na veřejnosti.

1997 Maniacovi feeling nechyběl!

Velkým vzorem a učitelem byl Maniacovi americký Dj. Beast From The East, který v té době působil
v západočeském rádiu Egrensis. Beast byl velmi zkušený DJ, který měl za sebou nejedno vítězství v DJ
soutěžích ve spojených státech, takže se bylo rozhodně, co učit nejen co se technik týče ale hlavně
feelingu, který DJovi prostě nesmí chybět a Maniacovi feeling nechyběl.

1998 … bylo načase opustit západní Čechy

Když už měl za sebou první rok svého působení bylo načase opustit západní Čechy a vydat se i do
vzdálenějších regionů České republiky. Díky užší spolupráci s legendárním Dj.BA2SS si Maniac poprvé
vyzkoušel jaké to je hrát v Pražských klubech. Ještě tentýž rok zaznamenal zájem produkčních i
z klubů ze Znojma či z Brna, kde vystupoval po boku pionýrů hip hopové klubové scény jako ORION,
RYTMUS, Indy & Wich a další. Zároveň v tomto roce Maniac založil OPTIMO label, kde nízkonákladově
vydal své první mix tapes. V té době zároveň startuje hiphopový projekt Da Maniac Groove (později
DMGroove) spolu s JIP, Shesha a Kowi

1999 Byla to dřina a láska zároveň!

Hodiny u gramofonů reprezentují dřinu, kterou člověk musí vynaložit, když chce dosáhnout svých
cílů. Djing a dj techniky v roce 1999 nebyly tak dostupné a Skratch Tutorial videa už vůbec ne. Maniac
začal experimentovat a doslova Skratch techniky vyvíjet. Hodiny, které strávil za gramofony by se
určitě dnes počítaly na tisíce. Byla to dřina a láska zároveň!

2000 Maniac překročil regionální ale i národní hranice

Milénium představovalo další důležitý milník v Maniacovo DJské kariéře. Tehdy totiž Maniac začal
působit v západočeském rádiu Egrensis, kde působil jako moderátor a DJ v rámci pořadu GROOVE
HOME. Ještě tentýž rok Maniac překročil regionální, ale i národní hranice a začíná působit jako DJ na

prestižních akcích v Německu či na Slovensku.

2001 Po pěti letech na scéně, tvrdá práce zdaleka neskončila.

První natáčení videoklipu pro lifestyle (SK8 & SNB) magazín BOARD. Díky častému vystupování
v Německu navázal Maniac kontakty se skupinou Polish American, se kterou spolupracuje dodnes.
V roce 2001 vydává ve vyšším nákladu na OPTIMO labelu mixtape pojmenovaný podle pořadu
Groove Home vol.1, jež se prodávala na Slovensku v Česku ale i v Německu. Po pěti letech na scéně
byl Maniac vyhledávaným DJem. Tím ale tvrdá práce zdaleka neskončila.

2002 – 2005 Úspěchy ale i porážky k životu patří.

V průběhu těchto tří let se Maniac věnoval hlavně projektu DMGroove, kde se aktivně věnoval
produkci a DMG tour, která dostala kapelu do mnohých klubů a na pódia nejvýznamnějších
festivalů nejen v rámci České republiky. Maniac se aktivně účastnil i DJ. Soutěží jako například
legendární soutěž „Hip Hop Foundation“ nebo „Hej pane discjockey“ a další, kde zaznamenal jak
úspěchy, tak i porážky, které k životu rovněž neodmyslitelně patří. V roce 2005 vydává Maniac za
podpory nejznámějšího tuzemského výrobce energetických nápojů SEMTEX (Pinelli spol. s r.o.) EP
s názvem „Friendly EP“ na vinylovém nosiči, který se úspěšně prodával i za hranicemi České republiky
hlavně díky spolupráci s Polish American. Ještě tentýž rok Maniac vydává CD s názvem „Spinning
Realness vol. 1“ a též připravuje a úspěšně realizuje projekt DJ.School. Maniac se vydal na turné s 18ti
zastávkami napříč Českou a Slovenskou republikou a na turné spolu s Iron African aka Shiny dayz
(NYC, Africa) K – Real ( SWE).

2006 Překvapivý přívlastek crossoveru v taneční hudbě.

V roce 2006 se Maniac setkává s otcem a zakladatelem DJingu s Grand Wizard Theodorem (USA).
Toto setkání Maniaca ovlivnilo nejen v budoucí DJské tvorbě, ale zároveň i jako producenta. Maniac
měl vždy blízko k Jazzu a Funku, což se začalo projevovat i v jeho setech a produkci, která získala
nenapodobitelný přívlastek v podobě skratch aranžmá i na místech, kde by jste to jen s těží čekali.
Řeč je o sériích nazvaných De Luxe Musique. V rove 2006 vychází první vydání tohoto CD, jež nasadilo
pomyslnou laťku Crossoveru vkusnou kombinací žánrů a skratchů v taneční hudbě. Kromě tohoto
vydává Maniac v roce 2006 další CD „Spinning Realness vol.2.“ ve spolupráci s DJ.Hanz-Fu (Mariánské
Lázně) a vinyl 12“ Singl, který ještě tentýž rok vychází s Maniacovou kolaborací s Iron African aka
Shiny dayz (NYC, Africa) ve Švédsku.

2007 DJ.Maniac - lektor, DJ, moderátor a producent v jedné osobě.

Maniac se opět vydává na turné napříč Českou a Slovenskou republikou Master of The Groove 2007.
Přitom podporuje skills a povědomí o DJingu v TV Óčko, kde uvádí a moderuje pořad zaměřený pro
DJe. Maniac se věnoval rovněž jako lektor studentů v karlovarské DJ. Škole a na sklonku roku 2007
vydává s kapelou DMG Easy EP. Po Vydání této desky se skupina rozpadla. Maniac se však naplno
věnoval produkci a DJingu.

2008 Maniac posouvá pomyslnou laťku zase o kousek výš.

Po vydání úspěšného CD De Luxe Musique DJ.Maniac vydává druhý díl stejnojmenného CD, který
byl LIVE zaznamenán na VIP akci pro instituci European Film Promotion v rámci Mezinárodního

Filmového Festivalu v Karlových Varech, které se účastnil například španělský herec, režisér, filmový
producent a zpěvák Antonio Banderas nebo český herec, moderátor, hudební skladatel, písničkář
a zpěvák Marek Eben. Na této akci Maniac získává angažmá v celosvětové známém klubu SaSaZu a
plánuje projekt Audi Music. CD De Luxe Musique vzniklo za pomoci Otto Hoffmana ml., jenž DJ set
doplnil hrou na klávesy.

2009 - 2012 DJ.Maniac současnost.

V tomto období se DJ.Maniac opět ocitá na rádiových vlnách. Na Foxy Radiu zahájil Maniac vysílání
pořadu s názvem De Luxe Musique, který byl zaměřen na alternativní a taneční hudbu. Po velkém
úspěchu prvního a druhého CD De Luxe Musique vydává další již v pořadí třetí díl a další díly až do
čísla pět následují. Kromě pravidelného vystupování v rámci Mezinárodního Filmového Festivalu
v Karlových Varech DJ.Maniac vystupuje již po několikáté v řadě na jednom z největších Evropských
Festivalů Hip Hop Kemp. Zroveň vyrazil v průběhu těchto let na De Luxe Musique Tour, kde měl tu
čest vystupovat po boku významných jmen jako JAR, Matěj Ruppert (Monkey Business), Daniel Bárta,
PSH, Pio Squad, Iron African (Swe), Afura (USA), Kontrafakt (Sk), Jiří Korn, Gypsy.cz, NATO (USA/De),
Toxique, Josef Cigánek (Walda Gang), Honza Kirk Běhunek (virtuózní kytarista) a s mnoho dalšími
velmi významnými osobnostmi nejen z České hudební scény. DJ. Maniac vydává projekt AUDI Music a
začíná více působit v zahraničí.

Podobnou cestou od Hip Hopu až po elektronickou taneční hudbu, kterou prošli DJs Carl Cox nebo
například A-Track, prošel i DJ.Maniac. Z jeho setů je cítit skratchy trénovaná ruka, jazzová hravost a
ve správný čas metronomicky striktní mixáž. LIVE sety obsahují pečlivě a srdcem vybírané skladby,
které se následně dostávají do žebříčků hitparád nejen v České republice. Atmosférické Show bourají
hranice všednosti a zaručují skvělou zábavu!

1995 It all started at the wall.

He was sixteen years old when he discovered the club scene. Alternative art appealed to him so
strongly that he decided to find a way to fulfill a meaningful way days of my life and still contribute
positively to the cultural life. Find the right way was not easy. It all started at the wall with paint cans
in hand. Then he tried to express their feelings through colors on the gray concrete surfaces from
which it was over full text paper was not too far from the first rapovému performances on stage,
which represented a further step towards DJing.

1996 ... burst into flame passion for DJing, which until now dormant!

First turntables and a mixer as hard-earned money brigade bought in 1996. At that time, under the
name Maniac Mc.OnTheBeat made its first transition (mix). The same day, hour after unpacking
boxes burst into flame turntable passion for DJing, which until now dormant! After a hard workout
Maniac felt fully prepared to give a speech in public.

1997 Maniacs feeling was missing!

A great role model and mentor was an American Maniacs Dj. Beast From The East, which at the time
he worked in West Egrensis radio. Beast was a very experienced DJ, who was behind many a victory
in DJ competitions in the United States, so it was definitely, not only to learn what the terms of
techniques but mostly feeling that simply can not miss DJs Maniacs and the feeling was present.

1998 ... it was time to leave the West Bohemia

When they had completed the first year of its existence it was time to leave the western Bohemia
and go into more distant regions of the Czech Republic. Thanks to closer co-operation with the
legendary Maniac Dj.BA2SS the first to use what it is to play in Prague clubs. That year, production
recorded interest from clubs from Znojmo or from Brno, where he performed alongside the pioneers
of hip-hop club scene as ORION, RHYTHM, Indy & Wich and more. At the same time this year based
OPTIMO Maniac label, which released its first low mix tapes. At the time, while hip-hop project starts
Da Maniac Groove (later DMGroove), together with ICU and Shesha Kowi

1999 It was hard work and love at the same time!

Hours of turntables represent the hard work that one must make when he wants to achieve their
goals. DJing and DJ equipment in 1999 were not so available and Skratch Tutorial video was not at all.
Maniac began experimenting and developing technology literally Skratch. Hours that he spent behind
the decks would certainly now numbered in the thousands. It was hard work and love at the same
time!

Maniac 2000 exceeded the regional but also national boundaries

Millennium represented another important milestone in Maniacovo DJ career. Maniac At that time
he started working in West Egrensis radio, where he worked as a presenter and DJ in the HOME
program GROOVE. That year, Maniac exceeded both regional and national borders and begins to act
as a DJ at prestigious events in Germany and the Slovak Republic.

2001 After five years on the scene, hard work is far from over.

The first video shoot for Lifestyle (SK8 & SNB) BOARD magazine. With frequent performances in
Germany, established contacts with the group Maniac Polish American, with the support today. In
2001, issued at a higher cost of the OPTIMA label named after the mixtape show Groove vol.1 Home,
which sold the Slovak Republic in the Czech Republic but also in Germany. After five years on the

2002 - 2005 successes and defeats, but the life is.

to production and DMG tour, which got the band to many clubs and on stage, not only the most
important festivals in the Czech Republic. Maniac has actively participated as a DJ. Competitions

scored successes and defeats, that the life also inherently. In 2005, Maniac issues with the support
of the most famous local producer of energy drinks SEMTEX (Pinelli et al. S ro) EP called "Friendly EP"
on vinyl base, which is successfully sold beyond the borders of the Czech Republic mainly through
cooperation with the Polish American. That year, Maniac issued a CD entitled "Spinning Realness Vol
1" and also prepares and implements the project successfully DJ.School. Maniac went on tour with
18 stops across the Czech and Slovak Republic and on tour with Iron African aka Shiny Dayz (NYC,

to this issue in 2006 Maniac next CD "Spinning vol.2 Realness." In collaboration with DJ.Hanz Fu
(Marianske Lazne) and vinyl 12 "single that same year based on a collaboration with Iron Maniacovou

DJ.Maniac 2007 - Lecturer, DJ, presenter and producer in one person.

Maniac is issued again on tour across the Czech and Slovak Republic, The Master of Groove 2007. It
promotes awareness and skills of DJing at TV Ocko, which provides focused and moderated program
for DJs. Maniac is also dedicated as a tutor students in Carlsbad DJ. School and at the end of 2007
the band issued the EP Easy DMG. After the release of this album, the group disbanded. Maniac,
however, fully devoted to production and DJing.

2008 Maniac imaginary bar moves a little bit higher.

After a successful CD release Musique De Luxe publishes the second part DJ.Maniac same CD
that was recorded LIVE at the VIP event for the institution of European Film Promotion at the
International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary, for example, participated in the Spanish actor, director,
film producer and singer Antonio Banderas and Czech actor, presenter, composer, songwriter and
singer Marek Eben. The event Maniac gets engaged in the worldwide known club SaSaZu project
plans and Audi Music. CD Musique De Luxe was founded with the help of Otto Hoffman ml., Who
added DJ set by playing the keys.

2009 - 2012 DJ.Maniac present.

During this period DJ.Maniac again finds himself on the radio waves. The Foxy Radio began
broadcasting Maniac show called De Luxe Musique, which focused on alternative and dance music.
After the great success of the first and second CD Musique De Luxe other issues as early as the
third part and other parts to the following number five. In addition to regular performances in the
International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary DJ.Maniac has been performing several times in a row
on one of the biggest European festival Hip Hop Kemp. It further set out in those years on the Tour
