All sounds from a Casio SK-1. Vocals were sampled and played back through the SK-1 as well.

Minimal additional effects were used.
A bit of reverb on almost everything. Delay on the whispered vocals. Chorus on the "brass ensemble."

To free myself from the limitations of the stock rhythms, I sampled and resequenced all of the rhythm sounds (i.e. "kick," "snare," etc.).

The goal was to only use the SK-1, and to refrain from modifying the original character of the keyboard with excessive effects.

I was heavily involved in the early days of the homemade music Cassette Culture movement of the 1980s, and was one of the movement's original and prime motivators, organizers, and promoters.
