“Reality sucks, fantasy is better”. Being a lifelong gamer and anime enthusiast, I’ve developed an appreciation for the escape of the pedestrian life. My label will be no different. I have a strong appreciation for music, I hate commercial sound. As an artist I found myself forced to create music to conform to labels and their sounds, that target only what sells in order to make money. I’m not creating this label to make money, but simply out of passion for meaningful music. The sounds I am targeting for this label are sounds you would hope to hear from Japanese RPG games, together with sounds you might hear on certain monstercat releases. I am interested in the fusion of classical sounds and electronic music production. But the main focus is on releasing music that evokes emotion and creates an escape for listeners. Female Vocals are preferred but not a must. Tenshi means angel in japanese. I chose angel to symbolize the softer, more emotion evoking side of the label and hard for the harsher electronic sounds. Thus create a fusion that forms Hard Tenshi Records. I will be releasing my own tracks on this label as well, and as tracks will be released on platforms for DJ’s like Beatport/Juno etc I will offer to remix your tracks(Free of course) to hit both markets of casual listeners and DJ’s.

Genres: This I am very open minded about. I will consider tracks in any genre that creates “The escape” I previously talked about. Some genres would include Trance, Melodic Dubstep, Liquid Drum N Bass, Classical, Chillstep etc. But don’t think of genre (I actually hate the idea of a genre) when thinking about this label only think about the feeling and sound that comes across. Does the track have a dreamy vibe, or fantasy theme? If so please do consider sending a demo to my label. Please ensure if you are applying that the tracks are mixed and mastered. Obviously every label is looking for quality. If you want someone who does a great job very cheap imo, inbox me.

In regards to my music career I DJ’d from the age of 16 up until my mid 20’s, in which I started producing music. My first 10 or so releases were signed to a small but successful Italian label. After I created my commercial alias “Mark Edward Hilder” I released tracks on labels such as Central Station Records/Ministry of Sound, Safari Music, Andorfine Records/Kontor, Moon Records, Homebrew Records/LNG/Universal Music Australia, Pop Rox Music, Almost Famous Music/Phethouse Records, Velcro/Xelon and Big Alliance Records/Straight Up. I have a new track coming out soon on an up and coming South American label, but now my focus is on going back to my roots and release music I am passionate about, which is why Hard Tenshi Records is born.
