Philipp Priebe is an artist we have discovered not so long ago, but who has become one of our favorites very quickly. His own productions and his recent 'Apparent Calm Palms' album really hit the spot, and we are super excited that Philipp has delivered the very first live set on Far Blue. 

"This live set was recorded around Christmas 22 in my Berlin flat, after I finished the last bigger project of the year. I thought it would be a nice thing to have a set that suits an early festival evening, with an intimate and emotional atmosphere but still working on a house/dub techno floor, with Transfiguration hitting the set when the sun is setting down and you could already need a rest from all the dust and sweat around you. Afterwards the day unfolds into the night, as the set does as well. It ends with a new track, called Fever Dreams with a slightly theatrical note, wishing you well and waving goodbye until then."

We are very happy to present IT-XPO as the next artist showing his perception of Far Blue. For this mix, he decided to go originals only, which he has never done before. Released and unreleased, some tracks even forgotten about until playing...

“I tend to be a very nostalgic person but not with my music. Always looking ahead but never back. I thought in this new year, I'd bounce around from old to new to old... to new. My music has always been to soundtrack my commutes and travels, a way to get lost in the movements. Listen on your way to work, on your way home.”

Philipp @priebe has been steadily building a reputation as a talented producer, dj and live act steadily exploring the depths of deepest #dub #techno, #hazy #dreamy and of course #trancy #House #music. 
  
Back in October the @stolarrecords label boss released his incredebile #athmospheric second #LP 'Apparent Calm Palms,' on @feuilletonmusic which you easy could get lost in. But also his last impressive contribution for the @itsdelayed podcast series left us mouth opened impressed. 

His music already recieved a lot of attention wehter from remixers like @kimbrowntrippy , @_johannaknutsson_ or @lawrence_dial but also from djs around the globe.
 
we are more than happy that he immediately agreed to play one of his hazy live sets for us.

Berlin based DJ and producer Soela has been on our radar for a while now. She has been known for her mesmerizing, multi-genre mixes and has released on well respected labels such as Dial, Kompakt and Shall Not Fade.  

“I recorded this mix after a gig in Tresor. I was inspired by it but wanted something relaxing, some non-dance, and warm music with a nostalgic spark. I included quite some different genres as I usually do: this mix is a journey between trippy electronica, ambient, minimal and jazzy house, and neoclassic. I included some pieces by Anton Zap, Lusine, Sven Weisemann, Hania Rani, and Kelela.”

Now, this one is technically cheating a little bit... It's not quite a mix but a live set but who really cares? 

Anyway, Alex Albrecht is a producer and dj from Australia. He releases music under the guise of Melquíades and has done so to great acclaim for Scissor & Thread and his own Analogue Attic imprint. He also produces music alongside Sean La'Brooy as part of a dynamic duo who have appeared on Night Tide, Voyage Recordings and Butter Sessions to name a few. 

Alex has a sound which is fundamentally rooted in the deeper fringes of dance and electronic music. Drawing upon influences from the natural world his music could be described as a subtle blend of balearic intricacies, deep house, electronica and beyond. His sound is reminiscent of the nineties in which breaks and the ethereal ruled supreme under the principle of free thinking dance music and psychedelics. 

With a recent EP for Scissor & Thread and a new collaborative release for Apollo Records he is having a busy summer. 

Presently on tour, this mix was recorded as a live set from somewhere along the way and it really is very special indeed.
