Sacred Native

I predominantly self-recorded and produced “Fall” in the autumn of 2023 as an emerging artist. "Fall" speaks of a personal journey of loss and growth and aims to encapsulate the essence of the darker seasons it draws inspiration from, providing a musical experience that mirrors the intricate dance between light and shadow, loss and renewal, inherent in the cycle of life.

“Fall” is about the changing of seasons and how the darker months of the year beckon us to turn inward and towards ourselves in introspection, rooted in the Celtic wisdom that something old must die for something new to be reborn. I wrote “Fall” in Autumn 2020, when I was letting go of a relationship and allowing the partnership to transform into a friendship. Amidst the currents of grief and realm of loss, a deeper understanding emerged as I unearthed newfound strength and independence, a thriving in who I was becoming.


Mirrored in nature, as the leaves fell from the branches and decayed back into the earth, this death also allowed other life forms to grow. The Mycelium feeds off the decaying plant matter allowing medicinal mushrooms to fruit all through the forest. “Fall” also speaks to the darker winter, when the Earth withdraws inwards and little outer growth is happening, yet deep within the earth, roots are still growing, bringing stability and nutrients to the plants and trees above.

A reflection of my own inner journey, “Fall” delves into the intricacies of embracing profound emotions—loss, grief, fear, pain, anger, frustration, and solitude. Acknowledging the complexities of the human experience, especially during the darker months, the song invites listeners to meet these deep-seated emotions as catalysts for transformation. 

The musical narrative of "Fall" unfolds with a deliberate descent, guiding the listener down into the darkness. The composition transitions into a serene, delicate forest soundscape full of texture, evoking the gentle patter of rain on leaves, sun streaming through the trees and the awe-inspiring beauty intrinsic to changing nature during this season. The crescendo that follows mirrors the rising energy and emergence of new life— the lengthening sunlight in the months ahead and the unseen growth beneath the earth's surface.

Lagartijeando is the name of producer, musician and DJ Mati Zundel. Born, raised and currently living in a small town on the outskirts of Buenos Aires called Dolores. Strongly influenced by his travels through Latin America, Mati’s signature psychedelic dance tracks latch onto everything from traditional folk sounds from the Bolivian altiplano to the jungle beats of Brazil.

Mati hypnotically fuses his traditional influences (with an emphasis on shaman chant and charango loops) with contemporary electronic beats, creating a sound that once left NPR speechless.

Freshly into 2017, Mati brings us El Gran Poder via Wonderwheel— named after an important Aymara festival that takes place in Bolivia and Peru, purely to celebrate family. At these festivals, the community also celebrates their culture and the importance of the collective identity. The album was recorded in Mati’s town, Dolores, outside of Buenos Aires. Once again taking a huge variety of sounds— this time influenced by Brazilian house, afro-brazilian rhythms, and folkloric Andean music.

January 2017 singer Julie Scott and her husband Peek Hijmans invited 13 musician friends and their partners to spend a weekend in their house in The Hague….A place of inspiration, set next to the beach and with lots of room to work together and create...

Inspired by the principles of Burning Man and the famous Transatlantic Sessions, the main theme was that of sharing, extreme gifting, without expecting anything in return … so everyone brought enough food and drinks for themselfs and to share, ego`s had to be dropped off at the Ego Depot upon entering the building….the idea was to create a small creative pressure cooker, without an audience

Every musician was asked in advance to share a song that they would love to play around with, they could work on it in small groups and re-arrange, record together….The music started pouring in, everthing, from classical, original compositions, pop, rock, to folkmusic….Berthold Brecht, Beatles, Perfect Circle & David Bowie to name but a few….

What happened next was mindblowing…it all really came together in a way no-one could have predicted. This eclectic group built campfires at night, ate like kings, drank like fish, shed some tears….roaring laughter could be heard from the corridors … new friendships were created and old ones revived…And the music, oh my god…how can i explain just how amazing the music was?

Luckily everything was filmed and recorded by Marsel Loermans & Pepijn Stutterheim!

On september the 8th Dune Sessions had it`s world premiere in PAARD, The Hague and was also shown during the famous Dutch Decompression in Amsterdam.

08. Tass'on Nainen - Hedningarna by Dune Sessions

Hana Wolf is a Singer/Songwriter rooted in the lands of Dartmoor, England. She sings from the heart, weaving a delicate realness with a grounded strength. Hana is a self-recording and self-producing emerging artist working on her debut album. Writing from her depths, Hana brings forth odes to nature and speaks to the inner journey of being a deep-feeling human. Connecting to the wild, she receives her inspiration from the rugged Celtic lands of Scotland, Ireland and England. Hana began her musical journey opening her voice in Kirtan circles and went on to lead Kirtan and Cacao ceremonies in London and festivals. Hana holds singing ceremonies and leads legal Psiloycbin retreats in the Netherlands where she loves to welcome all voices as they are and bring people together and into connection through song, dance, and shared humanness.
