It is Burning Man week and we all wish we could be celebrating there together. Close your eyes, click play and join me on this trip into deep playa letting yourself get lost with these beautiful progressive and melodic techno tunes.

Progressively dancing into deep playa - Burning Man 2020

No official burn happened this year, yet we came together in the truest spirit and created our own experience. New friends and old, we created a weekend together in a house nestled next to the beauty of Zion national park. We made something totally unique and magical - a reflection of all of us who shared our time an energy with each other. We didn’t need that specific spot in the Black Rock Desert to be great.

This set was recorded during our “Berlin Banger” theme night. Straddling the borders of techno, tech house, and progressive, this set was a journey through whips and chains and leather and grunge. We partied until the sun was a faded memory in our own special version of Berlin.

The last 6 minutes of the set is something I added in post production as a tribute to the weekend. Someone captured audio of our friend Meira’s beautiful impromptu recitation of “A Burner’s Prayer” during our own man burn ceremony, which I used to create a track to memorialize the moment.

Zion Burn - A Berlin Banger

Got to play an impromptu set at the Zion Burn this year and it could not have been more special ❤️ I have never been to Burning Man but being in a community of people that embodies everything about it gave me one of the best experiences of.my.life. 😍

@itai_isenberg got on the sax (impromptu, too!) and we created a fun, Berlin themed sunrise. Unfortunately, the sax didn't get recorded, but wanted to share this special memory anyway!

Solar Seance: The Lost Sunset of BRC

Hand of the Wit ’s music education traces back to his early childhood when he took piano lessons in his home country of Spain. Those formative years laid the foundation for his musical journey, allowing him to explore the beauty and emotion of sound.

In 2018, everything changed when he attended his first Burning Man event. It was there that he discovered the vibrant world of a different electronic music than what he had listened to until that point. The energy, creativity, and sense of community at the event ignited a new passion within him, inspiring him to blend his classical training with the dynamic, hypnotic and organic beats of genres like Progressive, Organic and Melodic Techno, or the so called “Playa Techno”.

Since then, he’s had the opportunity to play in the most iconic clubs and venues of Chicago, such as Spybar, Concord Hall and Primary, and has opened for renown international artists like Innellea, Worakls, Shai T, Sama’ Abdulhadi, or Tal Fussman.

Driven by the desire to connect with others through music, he now plays and creates tracks that reflect his experiences, emotions, and the spirit of exploration. Join him on this journey as he continues to evolve as an artist and share his story through sound.
