The email we got with this demo included one of the sentences most likely to get your track signed. It was, "I sent it to one of my friends, Blondish, who responded, 'Oh my God, you have to release this! It's been one of the biggest songs in my sets recently.'" 
Blondish had another suggestion: "You have to get Kevin McKay involved. The two of you on this will kill it!"

It's always an honour when an artist chooses us as the label to release their debut recording. Chase Creighton is one such artist. We've been following the Miami-based DJ and producer for a while due to his captivating mixes on Soundcloud & YouTube. We caught up with him recently at Miami Music Week, and he delivered this sweet afro bomb to us. With its sun-kissed piano chords and beautiful vocals, we wanted this ASAP. For nearly a decade, Lauren Lane has been a standout artist in the thriving house music scene, both in the US and internationally, gracing iconic global venues such as Club Space (Miami), Warung (Brazil), Amnesia (Ibiza), Womb (Tokyo) to name a few, plus festival appearances at Glastonbury, Coachella and Tomorrowland. With 2024 already seeing Lane debut on Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels and hot on the heels of her appearance for Jamie Jones’ iconic Paradise during Miami Music Week, she now sets her sights on a debut outing on Jones’ notorious Hot Creations as she unveils the moody and percussive rhythms of ‘Ryde Or Die Anthem’. 

‘Ryde Or Die Anthem’ is a robust house cut that weaves hypnotic guitar strums, driving beats, and a mix of rolling low-ends and rapped vocals, coming together for a tripped-out ride with a deep bass and playful groove.

We love an artist who is open about their musical journey. Many producers want to rip up all the "old" and create a new alias for their "new" sound as soon as they feel a slight change in direction. For us, this smacks of perfectionism and promotes unhealthy behaviour among artists. Skygroover unashamedly began life making EDM but discovered the joys of deep, musical, techy rhythms while living and making music in Brazil. The results of his newfound love were immediately apparent. We were lucky to hear "High" released earlier this year and loved its loopy heat and jazz chords. His follow-up, "Jazz Rhythm", is an equally sumptuous groove filled with clever Rhodes chords and wicked guitar licks. Add a superb sax breakdown, and you will have a future deep house classic right here. Dive in!

Art is so closely linked to music that it's surprising so few artists are musicians and vice versa. In terms of dance music, the most well-known is Trevor Jackson, whose groundbreaking covers for Soulwax sit shoulder to shoulder with his recordings as Playgroup. London's Samuel Muir joins the select group with this stunning collaboration with Kevin McKay. He has designed for A-list musicians (Khruangbin, Gorgon City, Deadmau5, Calvin Harris, Jessie Ware) and cool-as-you-like brands (Byron, Red Bull, Koya, Ace+Freak). For this release, he's taken inspiration from unashamedly big room club bangers to bring afro-tech flavours to this Seal-sampling slammer. Already tested by Kevin McKay to massive response at London's Roast party, this heady hypnotic journey is the perfect accompaniment to afro cuts by Band&dos, Malone and Nico De Andrea.
