Hostage

HEIDEMANN is the solo project of NY-based singer and multi-instrumentalist Monika Heidemann. When not performing and touring as HEIDEMANN, she plays synthesizers in The Juan MacLean and was formerly the lead singer of NYC’s electronic-pop band, Xylos.

HEIDEMANN performs minimalist pop songs with electric bass, synthesizers and pulsing analog drum machines supporting her fearlessly intimate vocals. After releasing her acclaimed solo debut Orphan EP in September 2014, HEIDEMANN is now gearing up to release her new Detectives EP, which includes the single “I’m So In Love,“ featuring vocals from Nancy Whang (LCD Soundsystem and The Juan MacLean).

Already Love

Having already drawn attention with his remixes of Japanese Wallpaper and Jack Grace, Anatole goes all out on this newest rework, stripping back everything but the vocal and reproducing the entire song with strings, horns, bells and even a flute played by Anatole himself. If he hadn't already turned heads with his Spotify viral EP and critically praised remixes, this new work is a statement of intent. The track scales to grand heights, demonstrating the deft touch of producers like Bonobo and Tycho and climaxing in an almost Sigure Ros-esque sadphoria. It was mixed by Becki Skye and mastered by Andrei Eremin.

Having released their debut You Tore Out My Heart EP in 2015, Melbourne's Tiny Little Houses are one of the most exciting guitar bands of the past few years and are a staple of Triple J and community radio alike. They're currently working on their debut album and will be hitting the road again soon.

As we drove away from 12 Pines, the most energetic acoustic show I have ever played, I kept seeing in my mind two young people, cars packed full, pulling out of their driveways, leaving home to become a Bennie and a Johnnie for the first time. I got out a note pad and started writing their story, which of course was a love story. I recorded the song in my home the next day. I thought it would be make a nice thank you for a memorable night.
