Track inspired by a visit to Wayland's Smithy - a Neolithic long barrow and chamber tomb site located near the Uffington White Horse and Uffington Castle, at Ashbury in the English county of Oxfordshire. Legend has it that if you leave your horse there overnight, it will be reshod by unseen forces by morning time...
I could hear the ghosts of the dead there!

An extract from a performance inside the soon-to-be-demolished East Tower, part of the BBC's original Television Centre complex. This recording was made entirely from the naturally-occurring sounds of the tower, particularly the resonant frequencies of the empty rooms and  gutted offices. A demo track I put together for a movie score I'm working on. I may come back and add some real flat new romantic vocals to the verse parts, but I always say that kind of thing and I never do it.

I also always say that retro electronic/synthwave/whatever is boring and I'm going to stop making songs like that, but it just comes so naturally.

Here's a hint of what's coming in my forthcoming radiophonic/folk soundtrack to The Dark is Rising, the classic 1973 children's novel by Susan Cooper. The album will be released on limited edition cassette by the Dark Outside in 2018, and tracks from it will be featured as part of #TheDarkIsReading, a groundbreaking large-scale Twitter book group which will be reading the book in real time starting on 20 Dec 2017.
