Handstitched* returns with a new release in the split-artist series - where two artists feature back-to-back on both CD and tape. Offthesky and Soysea meet somewhere in the middle for this amazing release. Both of the artists' music compliment each other very nicely, a perfect pairing of musical minds and sound.

Offthesky makes his second appearance on Handstitched*, after the mesmerising "to break is something sacred" long-player in 2019. Jason's new work "Anatomy of Infinity" features three epic pieces, shrouded in timeworn mystery, far-eastern echoes shine through, glistening and descending through a contrast of discord and awe-inspiring beams of light. 

Soysea makes a welcome appearance on Handtitched* - after hearing his music previously we were excited to get a chance to release "Oriens". Michele's music is nicely-rounded, understated drones and subtle vocals carry the listener through longitudinal divisions, meaningful and with purpose, the music is splendid, soulful and thought-provoking. 

It's amazing to get the chance, once again for another Offthesky release, this time alongside Soysea - the music is simply elegant, and contentment, which Handstitched* is very happy to put proudly out-there. Each format is limited to 50 copies each. The tape release is slid into hand-made, creased, folded and assembled cotton rag O-cards, the CD release comes in hand-made gatefold sleeves with mixed-media collage cover artworks, every design is individual, unique and made by hand.

"Forgotten Stories" is envisioned as a collection of ten short stories, centered around the theme of rediscovering and shedding light on ten particular narratives that have been obscured by the passage of time. This project represents a personal acknowledgment of the fragility of our memories and seeks solace in the profound beauty of nostalgia.

The loops utilised in the creation of this collection were recorded over a span of five years in France, captured on tape. The mixing process took place throughout 2023, incorporating additional elements such as field recordings and shortwave radio signals.

Long time friends and musical associates Tim Diagram and Yair Etziony have joined forces for a split-label release on their respective imprints; Handstitched* and False Industries are proud to bring you a split-label release in the shape of the new Maps and Diagrams album "Azurescens". 

The album is released in a limited edition CD version of eighty copies and also on a limited edition cassette version of 30 copies, the release will also be available digitally.

Each CD version is individually hand-crafted and features white cotton rag sleeves with hand-stamped, spore-print artwork and an individual collage artwork, unique to each version, each component is packed inside a glassine bag and individually hand-numbered. Packaging, design and assembly by Handstitched*

The limited tape version, released by False Industries features artwork derived from the aforementioned collage artworks. "Azurescens" is Maps and Diagrams latest assignment, a concept shaped during brief moments in time during the autumn and winter of 2018, it's immersed in deeper, acoustical explorations to previous works but retains a certain familiar sentiment found in earlier releases. 

"Azurescens" gives the sonic perception of spiralling out of control throughout it's sixty-nine minute duration but also guides the listener back to a level of consciousness and tangibility.
