For The Time Being is Hanging Up The Moon’s fifth release and first EP. The four tracks within were written shortly after their return from a trip which saw them performing in Japan and Taiwan.

Inspired by that experience as well as the warm friendships struck up along the way, the songs are uncharacteristically upbeat in their instrumentation. The lyrics however retain the wistfulness so signature of Hanging Up The Moon, touching on loss and resignation — a musical counterpart of the fleeting smile elicited by forgotten old photographs of treasured times.

For The Time Being is released by Big Romantic Records and features Skip Skip Ben Ben’s Lin Yiloh 林以樂, a friend made on the trip and a fellow musician under the label.

The EP is available digitally and as a 7-inch vinyl.

Ferns is an indiepop band that was cultivated a score of years ago in a patch of fertile soil in suburban Kuala Lumpur. Through natural selection, a little loving care and lots of sunlight, the band evolved into a lean & green pop-song-writing machine. Our debut “On Botany” (2007) and sophomore "Fairweather Friends" (2011) albums have earned top spots on a number local and foreign publications’ year-end Best Ofs.

Hanging Up The Moon is the musical moniker of Sean Lam. Enlisting the help of friends Alexius Cai, Dean Aziz, Leslie Low and Victor Low. The band was involved in 4 out of 6 releases to date. With 2 LPs distributed under Kitchen Label and an EP by Big Romantic Records.

Hanging up the moon is currently back to being a solo act and is now working on a full length album for it’s 8th release.
