This Time

All songs are composed for and first played with real instruments. However sometimes, we use several vst instruments to improve the sound.  We experiment with electronic/EDM sounds and effects, alienate natural instrument, sometimes make it sound more electronic.
We are the rest of a musician group, quite a few years ago (at school), actually instrumentalists, 2 female, one of them piano, oboe, the other piano, clarinet, 1 male, all kinds of guitar, also bass and ukulele. The other two are unfortunately missing now (1 female who was our main singer (bad luck, so we have only us - background singers) and violin and 1 male, also guitars). Occasionally there is a real electric guitar or bass, but probably not recognizable as such. So now we sound quite different than before or, at least here...before starting here, our style contained different elements, folk, classical, pop-Rock, sometimes also Hard/Punk-Rock or Metal. When we play live, we still have that sound. We hope some people like our music here!

The Monobandits - aka David Gibbins,who writes the songs, and, plays all instruments, attempts to sing , produce, mix and master in the manner of a blind man searching for a needle in a haystack and frequently gets sworn at for unleashing these efforts upon an audience who have done little to deserve it!
My parents bought me my first guitar at the age of 4 with the promise that once I'd learned to play it, they would give me the strings. Progress was slow.....
but I persevered and formed The Monobandits 48 years later and have looked backwards ever since.
The Monobandits have been hugely successful in the past year - combined single and albums sales have now reached an astonishing 69 cents making them more successful artists than Van Gogh, who never sold a painting in his lifetime - nor a CD!
This is not the first time comparisons have been made with Van Gogh - it has frequently been said that the band have Van Gogh's ear for music.
The band has vowed to keep their feet firmly on the ground and say this past year's success will not change them.

Roger Pancake is the pseudonym of the German music nerd Mark Korthals, regarding himself a musician. He is best known (to those who know) for his musical contributions to a long history of local Cologne and Magdeburg band projects from midst of the eighties until today. After his last project recording a personal version of Beck‘s Songreader with The Jehnny Dopps, he is now, under the project name The Cosmic Hum, releasing (well, rather small step by small step) his debut solo album entitled Reveal yourself: late coming of age like stuff, taking himself seriously in the one and only respect of having fun doing this.
