The plot persists in thickening.

Serenity, peace and contentment 
were for suckers;
I opened the door marked Keep Out.
The room spun once and began to fade.

When I heard this beauty from Alan the first time, I already heard a more powerful orchestral movement playing along in my head, so I asked Alan if I could produce his beauty my way, and luckily he did.
I took 1 of his instruments because I wanted the song to keep the same feel and velocity that Alan played, and then I started to build it up all over again with my instruments and created other harmonies and changed the bridge, as I intent to use slightly more sustain on the piano then Alan does, so I could start slightly earlier towards the next notes and create my harmonies.
I hope you’ll enjoy this version too, and if you think I overdid it, blame me, not Alan LOL.
As always your comments or critics are most welcome, it always helps me evolving my skills.

Which is their fault?
if all they want
is the same things
as any other child?

Learn and play
live without fear
food on their tables
and a roof to feel safe

Innocent souls
with apprehension and
sadness in their eyes
still, kind and sweet
with the purest of hearts

They don't know selfishness
and will share what they have
even if only a piece of bread
they will cut it in half

They are happy
playing with a block
of wood on the ground
while your ungrateful kid
is crying for not having the
latest model of cell phone

While you are taking
pictures of your expensive
meals or clothes
they went to sleep
with their stomachs empty

This world is unfair, selfish
full of empty people.
No child deserves
to be the forgotten.

He said Drive

You hit Detroit
I was 19 and He Was younger
But he had the car
And he had the gun
So I gobbled up
Some of the 
White crosses that 
They had come to L A
To take back to Motown 
And drove

She laid back there
With that haltertop
And those pink shorts
And I had already pictured 
Us without him
And we were running
Always running
Fields and streams
And no haltertop
And no shorts
They were smacked out
On morphine
And I was speeding.
I would talk for oh
About an hour and 
Every once in awhile he

I was a New York boy

Grand Canyon but
After about a Chevy Chase minute

I drove the entire length of 
Route 66 in a Falcon
With bald tires

Through the drugs
Through the fear
But I made Michigan

On the Western coast
So I could go north to Holland
Where some friends left 
A light on for me

I don't even remember their names
