In just over a year behind the decks, Kitzu has captivated crowds at local shows and festivals like Freezer Burn and Emotion Music & Arts Festival. As a member of RunniT Productions and a co-founder of Bass Terra Collective—a femme community project—Kitzu is not only a skilled selector but also a passionate force driving inclusivity and representation in the scene. @maxedoutcrew -  “ City Props was an idea I came up with in the summer of 2022,  displaying to the crowd where each producer is from during my set and paying homage to the city where the music was produced, remixed or edited.  There are so many places all over the world pumping out different genres of music and they all have their own piece of flavour attached to them.  I feel it helps people connect with the music if you know where it’s from and offers a new experience during the set“

Cmax Music AKA City Props is a second generation DJ.  His father was among the first djs to start the movement and offer to play records at clubs in the early 70's out in New Brunswick Canada.  Cmax has been an avid music festival attendee here in BC for years now,  having hit his first Shambhala in 2004 and watching Basscoast grow to be one of the most desirable festivals in Canada. The summer of 2021 brought on the opportunity to put a set together for Under the stars festival and it ended up being his first time playing solo live.
