A few artist are as mysterious as Aparde, who namely let's his music do the talking. His forthcoming release on Stil Vor Talent, titled Loom, is a great way to get to know a man of such few words. With dubby chords, the title track of the EP sounds like 4/4 hypnosis.

Recorded in spring 2014, “Heart” is the debut solo album by Gothenburg-born Joel Alter. During the process, he focused on finding the artist within himself and accepting the outcome as the value of his own footprint. But also for Uncanny Valley, releasing an album by an artist of whom we never released music before as singles or on compilations marks new ground. But since we know Joel for some time and are great admirers of his two albums he released together with Henrik Jonsson as Jonsson/Alter on Kontra-Musik this step felt very natural.

“Broken Chord” opens up the album as an intimate, string-heavy House track and is succeeded by “22 Hours”, a wonderful piece of slightly dark pop music featuring French singer Luvinsky Atche. With its melancholic and catchy vocal it brings you right into the album’s narrational flow. Following up is “Everlasting” featuring longtime friend Christoffer Berg on piano and vocals. These two tracks mark the emotional backbone of the album. After that, “I Got It” turns out as a stumbling Disco affair while “Unsung Heroes” is a subtle track with its guitar sample from another era and mystical spoken words. “Out Of Bounds” is a driving House track that will cause a stir on open-minded dance floors when the trumpet by Stefan Sporsén finally enters. The same applies to “Mecca”: After a seductive chord inferno that carries the track for several minutes, a cryptic synth line seem to come out of nowhere and marks a salvation. Finally, “Measures of Love” combines Joel playing cello and Christoffer Berg on Korg Mono Poly to a peaceful and beatless conclusion. This was recorded in a live-jam and is the result of pure inspiration.

Joel has been carrying the idea of recording a solo album for some years now. Naturally, “Heart” combines various influences, not only musically but also from his personal life. When he proceeded further into the production process, he limited himself using the computer less and instead learning to trust his intuition, the flow of his fingers and to use his own voice as an instrument. This led to an album that is rather hard to pin down genre-wise but even easier to connect to emotionally when you listen to it from start to finish.

The artwork is based on several oil paintings by Swedish artist Joakim Heidvall.

As the first single for the forthcoming debut full-length from BLOND:ISH, ENDLESS GAMES has the tough job of convincing listeners without spoiling the surprise - an effort that sees its pitch-perfect execution in the compelling and slightly mysterious-sounding synth drops, masterfully bolstered by an incentive groove and massive vocals. With the album shaping up to be both an inspired journey for the mind and a propelling trip for the body (and soul), this delivers on all fronts, presenting the mystical and enchanting leanings of the producer/DJ duo as well as the obvious urge to work the dance floor. Remixer PATRICE BÄUMEL has no trouble connecting to this mindset, as he has proven time and time again - check his highly immersive and definition of techno on SPEICHER 81 and SPEICHER 85. Bäumel's strong and club-ready revamp of ENDLESS GAMES comes in two flavours: the vocal version geared for prime time destruction and a sweet dub version for the aftermath.

“You know it's true, don't you?" You know it's true, sometimes emotions can be darn unsettling and disturbing – as they flow deep down our consciousness uncovering fears, thoughts and feelings. Yes, if we're focused too much on our personal hedonistic euphorias, sometimes we lose that... It gets lost; You know it's true. You may know it's true.

Manfredi Romano aka Dj Tennis shapes this treasure, a release that is decisively out of the box; a small cathedral made of subtle shades and unusual EQ's, where ideas seduce and frighten.

That's “Divisions”, led by Danish singer and guitarist Jeppe Kjellberg. Who's words and voice are carefully crafted as a precious, poisoning weapon of concern and bewilderment; as it is “Chirality” a deep, insistent, gelid voyage. Which distinctively in this round, We find ourselves not only with Tennis' masterful production skills but also the astounding addition of Sophie Trudeau's string work – she's been the driving force behind the string sections of legendary Canadian post-rockers Godspeed You Black Emperor, one of the most dark, cinematic and unsettling rock acts of the last decades – which really ads a poignant and visionary mood and emotions we rarely encounter and by that we can rarely breathe.

The original edits have been respectfully and creatively revisited by techno pioneer Roman Flügel, who masterfully rubs “Divisions”; turning it into a sensual, devious, laid down affaire. Lastly, closing the ride , the legendary English duo Plaid - true masters and innovators within the Intelligent Dance Music field- grace “Chirality” with their very own touch made of alien sounds, mutant rhythm architectures, warm dynamics and heartbreaking melodic caresses that iconically represents their visions.

Kellerkind steps up to the plate with Subzero, a slice of cavernous dub tech. Breathy vocals and sparse ethereal elements set a dreamy mood. Underlined by smooth piano chords, the vocal develops into a full fledged hymn that is both emotive and mesmerising. For his second take, the Swiss producer embarks on a techno tinged journey. Opting for distorted synths and a stomping bassline, he aptly crafts a near dungeon-like atmosphere only sweetened by a lush female vocal. Teaming up with Sven, they offer up Shakti Pan, a meeting point between tribal infused percussion and deep-set riffs. Hollowed out drums and bells chimes touch on chorus vocals and manage to create a highly immersive experience, rounding off the release on an uplifting note.

I went pretty minimal on this one, no hi-hats, and pretty much no drums actually, just a kick and much later into the track a snare comes in.....There was something about the simple repetitive 2 note melody hits and chords I landed on that just seemed to work without needing anything much else, well hopefully it works for other people too and not just me. It's been going down really well in the clubs at least, it seems to make people clap for some reason, maybe because it's so simple and kick focused rhythmically, it's got a bit of a marching stomp feel.

I stripped out most of the parts from the original, and focused on the great pads and vocal sweeps, which seemed to lead to the melodic idea somehow. It was one of those remixes which flowed nice and easily, not too much conscious thought required, I just let it flow out.
