These lost tape loops were sent to us by Lee over 3 years ago and somehow were shelved and forgotten. Upon rediscovery, we fell in love with these tender recordings and offered the 3 short tape movements up for remix. Multiple artists both national and international replied and submitted their beautiful renditions. Please enjoy these reworks that total over a 50 minute journey through the music of Lee Chapman.

"Built Upon A Fearful Void" or "Fearful Void Series" for short, is Lost Tribe Sound's latest subscription series. The series will introduce 15 new full-length albums to the roster between June 2020 through June 2021.  The line-up includes new full-length album by From the Mouth of the Sun, William Ryan Fritch, Vieo Abiungo, Yadayn, Microwolf, Several Wives, Arrowounds, and debut albums from Claire Deak & Tony Dupé (aka Saddleback), Mt Went (aka Seabuckthorn & Dave Anderson), Gallowglas, and Sailcloth.

In search of the perfect acoustic mirror for his perception of the world, Hannes Kretzer started to collect and distort sound effects until they fit into his mental universe at an early age. Synthesizer pioneers from the 70s were his first spiritual companions on his experimental exploration with sound.  From the beginnings in meditative ambient grew an equally strong fascination for straight-forward pop culture.  Intrigued by the idea of bringing together these contrasting worlds, Hannes Kretzer embarked on a new journey to incorporate a sense for dynamics, evolving structure, juxtaposition and space into his new creations.
