Hanne Tofte Jespersen , Danish composer has created a series of works for bowed strings. Thanks to her collaboration with the three excellent soloists, Faroese Øssur Bæk, Danish Kuno Kjærbye and German Heiko Maschmann, her duo and solo works are now also available for streaming worldwide.*

08 ETRURIA Suite For Violin And Double Bass - No6, Joy Of The Dance

The classic fairy tale, the Frog Prince, updated as a work for narrator and chamber orchestra. Bob Mcgrath from Sesame Street narrates and Victoria Bond, composer, conducts the Empire State Youth Orchestra.

Using the text from Susan Roth's children's book, this oratorio tells the story of Guido d'Arezzo who discovered a better way than the tradition of learning music by rote. He invented a system of music notation, which, though modified, is still in use today. The music is based on the original Gregorian chant which was the first piece of music Guido notated.

This song is the 3rd song in the cabaret De Forstummedes Tale / Speech of the Silenced Ones centered around poems of Anna Akhmatova. Recorded at the premiere in Koncertkapellet 6-8 Sept 2024.
