- On the one hand, I have associated the title of No. 3 with the following Old Dutch saying, of which I do not know the source: "With mouth prayers / Nor sing alone / God is pleased. / That which sings the heart / Penetrates the clouds. -  On the other hand I see the title as a reference to the divine spark that every human being carries in his heart, as the ancient oriental mantra says: "Om mani padme hum" (The jewel is in the lotus). IN THE HOUR OF AWAKENING - IN DER STUNDE DES ERWACHENS for Oboe & Organ or just Organ

There are two versions of this work: for viola quartet and for violoncello quartet. Here the first.  Sheet music at https://hansbakker.musicaneo.com/sheetmusic/sm-341794_koraal_madrigaal_voor_altviool_kwartet.html   - The instrumental CHORAL has a behaved character that fits the style of a polyphonic motet.  So the melody of each instrument is here thought quite vocal. However, you can also recognize recurring motifs in the voices, for example, bar 1/2 in viola 3 and viola4, imitated in bar 3/4 in viola 1 and 2.  These motifs appear sometimes together, but also imitated by itself.   - The MADRIGAL is characterized by the rhythmic motif - with eighth notes - one in size, which is imitated across all instruments.
NB The mp3 is a Midi audio. But the piece is beautiful performed for cello quartet on Navona Records (NV5832).

Chorale and Madrigal for viola quartet

In trio SPARK for lame sonore or soprano vocalise or violin & viola or cello & piano the entire soprano part of the choral work RAT - for SATB, for TTBB and for SSAA on a text by Bô Yin Râ - is included in the upper voice, alternating with melodic commentary.
The same goes for this Spark Quintetto that I made on request. Apart from some new harmonic subtleties, the timbre of this instrumental line-up gives a new perspective to the whole.                                                             Sheet music at:

Passage - for marimba and organ

The Suite for Clarinet consists of three movements: 
1. The will to find; 2. Heading to the light; 3. Coral.     
Regarding 1. This movement is stylistically inspired by my Prelude - Dare Voce II for lame sonore. As for 2. I borrowed the idea from movement 2 of my TRIO for flute, oboe and clarinet. And for 3.
