This first compilation sets the tone for what we’re about — deep, groove-driven music shaped for the club, made by artists who live and breathe the craft. From lean percussive rollers to warped, high-pressure stompers, the release balances functional energy with character, detail, and depth.

Featuring a mix of close collaborators and new faces, VA001 is our statement of intent: a raw, high-intensity snapshot of what’s moving dancefloors right now.

Nearly two years since their last release on Bade Records, and a year since their last original EP, Brothers Black return home to their London imprint with ‘Justify’, a focussed four track EP in their trademark style.

The brothers open the EP with ‘Long Way Back’, a rolling ambient piece combining distorted washing chords with spacey choral chords and space-age detailing. The title track ‘Justify’ follows, combining  heads-down, slamming percussion with vocal sampling from one of pop’s greatest legends. The third track, ‘Bloodhound’, is an effective, frantic tool that combines rolling percussion with an eerie lead and swirling strings. Finally, the brothers round off the EP with chained, a groove-orientated FM tool with sharp industrial stabs.

"The name Hans Bouffmyhre was born in the summer of 2006, when a group of friends decided to start their own techno night in a dark basement in Paisley, Scotland. The first night was a massive success and the rest is now history. 15 years later Hans Bouffmyhre is an established artist within the worldwide techno scene. Having released music on some of the worlds most esteemed techno labels like Soma Records, Electric Deluxe, Perc Trax, Suara and others. Meanwhile his own label Sleaze Records goes from strength to strength, firmly stapled as one of the best techno labels in the UK.

Hans has been lucky enough to play regular DJ sets at some of the biggest and most well known clubs in the world, from the infamous Berghain in Berlin, to Melkweg in Amsterdam, Rex Club in Paris, Sub Club in Glasgow amongst many others. He is known for bringing a raw, hypnotic and energetic style. Still only in his mid 30’s and with already so much experience as a DJ, producer, label manager and party organiser, the future looks bright for Hans Bouffmyhre."
