Roger Martinez kicks off 2013 with yet another EP that blew us away here at Gem headquarters. His previous EP ‘Die Magische Tijd’ was one of the peoples favorites of 2012 and the title track is followed up on the Eschaton EP with ‘De Machtige Trip’. Another beautiful melodic techno voyage that we have come to love from this exciting artist. ‘Eschaton’ and ‘Kracht’ are both extremely powerful high quality dance floor destroyers.

All three tracks on this EP have been big crowd pleasers during Martinez’ live performance which was one of the highlights of Amsterdam Dance Event 2012. Continuing the celebrations surrounding Poker Flat’s 20th year in operation, we are treated to another sublime rework of a back catalogue treasure.  

This time it’s concerning the work of Danish polymath Trentemøller, and his certified classic Moan. Featuring the vocal-talents of Ane Trolle, the track was originally released in 2007, in what could be described as one of Trentemøller’s many splendids. 

Here we have a remix courtesy of Tim Engelhardt - a Poker Flat regular who has built a formidable reputation over the last years. His reinterpretation is the perfect mix of Trentemøller’s instinct for sleek hooks with his own savvy, slinky tech house. The full version features Trolle’s timeless vocals, and there’s also an instrumental version for the DJs.

Having released music on some of the worlds most esteemed techno labels like Soma Records, Electric Deluxe, Perc Trax, Suara and others. Meanwhile his own label Sleaze Records goes from strength to strength, firmly stapled as one of the best techno labels in the UK.

Hans has been lucky enough to play regular DJ sets at some of the biggest and most well known clubs in the world, from the infamous Berghain in Berlin, to Melkweg in Amsterdam, Rex Club in Paris, Sub Club in Glasgow amongst many others. He is known for bringing a raw, hypnotic and energetic style. Still only in his mid 30’s and with already so much experience as a DJ, producer, label manager and party organiser, the future looks bright for Hans Bouffmyhre."
