Ben Weber is a self-proclaimed sound-anarchist. Catchy melodies, jazzy funk and dreamy melancholia embedded in well-structured arrangements and airy beats define his sound.  His influences stem from his youth where he was mesmerised by punk, metal, funk and wave. Here, on the extremely versatile LMF014 ‘The Streets’ four original productions in collaboration with Phable and Alex Eilers are being showcased alongside two remixes by Low Steppa and WD2N.	

While ‘Castle in the Air’ convinces thanks to its laid-back charm, rolling percussion and sun-drenched guitar licks, ‘Unconditioned Love’ presents itself as a deep midnight chugger with a Balearic vibe, epic chords and emotional strings, all complimented by Phable’s stunning voice. ‘Nineties’ and ‘The Streets’ together with Alex Eilers are more forward, with the former paying homage to the classic Jersey house sound and the latter channelling 80s synth-pop within a deep house context. As for the remixes: Low Steppa rebuilds ‘Castle in the Air’ on a robotic UK garage groove for his peak-time bomb, whereas WD2N enhances the melodious aspects of ‘Unconditioned Love’ on his interpretation.

Hot off the back of debut chart smash ‘So Freakin’ Tight’ that jumped high into the official chart earlier this year, UK duo Tough Love are back to present their brand new single alongside R&B legend Ginuwine with the remake of the 1996 classic and chart smash ‘Pony’ out on 7 August.
 
‘Pony (Jump On It)’ is a one of a kind release, seeing the R&B legend re-record his vocals on this massive classic, it feels as though this could be even bigger than before. It sees Tough Love bring the original firmly into the contemporary dance arena and features fresh, updated vocals from Ginuwine to boot.
 
With over twenty years in the game as a multi-platinum selling artist with 10 studio albums and multi Grammy nominations, Ginuwine is one of the genres greats. It seems only right that he’d entrust his original record to an act who have solidified their place in the UK’s dance scene with their consistent underground releases as well as demonstrating their ability to stand up in the UK charts with their break out hit  ‘So Freakin Tight’. Using the iconic hook as a precursor for the track's standout crescendo, Ginuwine’s vocals feel as fresh as ever too.
 
Tough Love’s Alex & Stef have been championed for their remixing ability and their penchant to make fun, '90s inspired house records. MÖWE is a recently founded project by the Vienna based artists Mel and Clemens, who previously played together in the band Mary lost her Pathos. While the duo’s indie roots still shine through in the song writing, MÖWE’s sound is largely electronic and best described as melodious and emotionally uplifting. Here, on SVT119, they present two of their outstanding productions, while Björn Störig contributes a beefy remix. 	

The title track ‘Inside’ focuses on harmonic piano and guitar hooks that float over a bouncing beat and crisp percussion. As the duo’s heartbreakingly beautiful vocals climax in a bass-driven chorus, we find ourselves lost in a sea of bewitching sound. ‘Seven Days’ is then introduced by delayed vox and drops into an airy arrangement backed-up by Mel and Clem’s longing voices. Stunning! Lastly, SVT mainstay Björn Störig gives ‘Seven Days’ the dance floor treatment by pitching down the original’s vocals and laying them over an elastic deep house bassline.

It’s been four years since my last own EP on Stockholm LTD.
The main reason for this is that I have been surrounded by music that has inspired
me much more than my own.

This EP was written and produced with strict narrow frames and a huge amount
of frustration. I was tired of waiting for the inspiration to kick in, then suddenly it
appeared with a strength that I haven’t felt for long time. I’m now curious for more.

While sketching the title track, ’Wyatt Arp’, I couldn’t get Detroit legend, Terrence
Dixon, out of my mind. Terrence is a long time hero of mine, and an artist that always
stays on the true side of what we do while most of us occasionally leave our paths.

Twin Turbo presents the debut release from Pilo, featuring three tracks to destroy whatever's left of 2012's dancefloors.

It's always a source of pride for the label to discover a new artist and shove him out onto the world stage to sink or swim into the playlists of all the huge names who pay rapt attention to everything we do. We were introduced to Pilo through Harvard Bass, who suggested his fellow Californian for remix duties on his own recent Twin Turbo release. Now, we're pleased to present Pilo's proper debut, the work of yet another huge young talent grinding it out for nu-techno supremacy.

"Ubstraktion (Jazz Yo Self Mix)" melds rave diva vox, an infectious siren hook, and high-BPM lysergic techno, leaving you wonder what the less jazzy mix could possibly sound like. Meanwhile, "Forte Inductance" strips away the nonsense to genuine "stripped-down, no-nonsense" levels, relying on a relentless kick, overdriven toms, and a melting MC vocal to  get the job done. Finally, "Trippin" gets you trippin' so hard that the term "after-hours warehouse banger-monster" seems to lose all meaning, before gaining way too much meaning.

Twin Turbo - closing out the year with new discoveries, new digital bombs, and new definitions of peak-time dominance. We'll see you in 2013 with music that reflects our world's inevitable Mad Max, dancing-in-the-breadline reality.

The first night was a massive success and the rest is now history. 15 years later Hans Bouffmyhre is an established artist within the worldwide techno scene. Having released music on some of the worlds most esteemed techno labels like Soma Records, Electric Deluxe, Perc Trax, Suara and others. Meanwhile his own label Sleaze Records goes from strength to strength, firmly stapled as one of the best techno labels in the UK.

Hans has been lucky enough to play regular DJ sets at some of the biggest and most well known clubs in the world, from the infamous Berghain in Berlin, to Melkweg in Amsterdam, Rex Club in Paris, Sub Club in Glasgow amongst many others.
