Frecuencia Almica II - Lucas Cervetti (432Hz)

Ed Haydon's beautiful piano piece "Hope" was one of my absolute favourite pieces from the Piano Cloud group in 2013. So when we launched a new challenge to record a cover version of another member's music, it was an obvious and immediate choice. 

Rather than simply reproduce the piece in the same way that Ed himself recorded it, I have used his notation as a start point and made some subtle changes. I have added extensions to the chords and re-voiced them, embellished the melody in places and added additional runs and doodles. There's a new ending too. These changes give the piece an "Andrew Eales flavour", while staying true, I hope, to Ed's original vision for the piece.

One of the reasons Ed Haydon's "Hope" was such a great track was its simplicity though, and I realise that by adding complexity I have created a version which is distinct. You may in any case prefer the original, which I encourage you to listen to here:

This recording  was part of my very first studio production. I labeled it "affettuoso assai" and made copies on CompactCassettes, each one by hand !  During the following years I managed to sell 500 pieces during my first gigs and concerts and was enormously proud of it.

Cool, hard headed but very firm in his actions he defends the law in Blues City. The Sheriff

After church people leave the church when they suddenly get a wonderful smell in there noses. Its grandma's apple pie which she put on the window ledge to let it cool down. The 40 riders are very hungry and since they always take what they want with force they approach grandma's house to steal the apple pie. And so they start to get into heavy shooting fights themselves just because they got so greedy because of grandma's apple pie. http://www.hpcrazy.com

It attempts to communicate that which so many of us can never quite communicate properly with words. It is an open apology for the clumsy mistakes we all make when coming to maturity in learning how to care selflessly for another human being. It is a gentle reminder as to what is most important in life, as well as an invocation to continuously seek self-improvement regarding our understanding of such matters.
