Manchester-based Yant has a reputation for his meticulously designed productions and dark, groovy, powerful DJ sets.

Signing records to Setaoc Mass’s SK_Eleven X, Token Records, and originally BLACKAXON the producer has a solid backing of Techno’s most important figures. Keeping things fresh and moving forward his productions deliver alluring grooves, hypnosis-inducing sounds and rich powerful beats. Each track has distinct personalities and psychoacoustic details to build worlds of their own, always ready to take you to the next place.

Berghain, Bassiani ∄ K-41, Fold and The White Hotel, are just a few of the clubs which have experienced his ability to grip the dancefloor. Full of energy, pushing it to the limits, he rides on the verge of things falling apart, almost close to apocalyptic, but saving you with a surprise up his sleeve. With an open minded passion for music and diverse collection, setting the tone at the start of the night using interesting atmospheres is something he appreciates and makes it his mission to subtly drift with you into the full speed of the night. Bas Mooy (1976) has been a driving force in the international techno scene for over twenty
five years. Hailing from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, he has carved out a distinct niche with
his dark, powerful, and uncompromising sound. As a DJ, producer, and label owner, Mooy
continues to shape the future of techno with a fierce dedication to quality and innovation.

For almost twenty years Bas was a member of the Rotterdam underground collective ‘Strictly
Techno’, creators of over a hundred legendary parties since the late nineties. Since the start
of Mord Records the focus shifted towards hosting label nights all over the world, in
legendary clubs such as Berghain (Berlin), Basement (New York), Fold (London), Perron
(Rotterdam) and Tresor (Berlin).

Mooy’s productions have found a home on some of the genre’s most respected labels,
including Mote-Evolver, 47, Pole Group, Perc Trax, Planet Rhythm, and his own imprints,
Mord and Audio Assault. Launched in 2013, Mord quickly became a vital platform for cutting-
edge techno, showcasing both established artists and fresh talent from around the globe.
With its raw, industrial aesthetic and consistently forward-thinking releases, Mord has
solidified its place at the forefront of the underground.

As a performer, Bas Mooy is known for his intense, high-energy DJ sets that span the
spectrum of dark, hypnotic, and driving techno. He has performed at some of the world’s
most renowned clubs and festivals.

Whether in the studio, behind the decks, or curating his label’s next release, Bas Mooy
remains to constantly push the sound forward, while staying true to its underground roots.
With Mord Records turning 12 in 2025, Bas shows no sign of slowing down.
