Marco Passarani is one of the best loved Italian producers and DJ's, he has released a wealth of material across decades and is regarded as an influential figure in house, disco and techno circles far and wide. His music has appeared on labels such as Offen Music, Running Back, Peacefrog, Numbers and many more. This is only his solo material, not to mention the wealth of music he has created as one half of the fun loving duo Tiger & Woods. 

Marco's latest release is for the recently launched Italian label Unrelatable but there's talk of a big year and grand plans ahead for the celebrated producer. We saw no better way than to have him sign off our year in style with a fun mix of jackin' house and wandering arpeggios.

This summer Dampé returns to Dirt Crew with the three track Shadwell EP as part of our special digital only release series. 2020 has already been strong with the producer holding down a monthly residency at Rinse FM and dropping a deep garage cut with MC Mushkilla on London’s WotNot records.

The Shadwell EP displays sounds for the club and headphone listener alike. Chak Wak is a percussive club track which sees chunky rhythms, an acid baseline and Rhodes licks bounce about before giving way to a distinctive lead line.

SE1 Bossa Nova is a playful CR-78 and guitar jam and an ode to a London postcode and the sunshine. Echos of UK dance styles are never too far away on a Dampé production. On the title track we hear a UKG shuffle over a weighty bass line deliver a couple heads down drops. Mid way through the tune cascading, ravey arps appear to create a moment which should have a listener longing for Lockdown to end and a dark 4am dance floor.

A gentle wind to rap on the shutters, Brooklyn/Los Angeles label Youngbloods present an eccentric morning show featuring ambient, classical, jazz, and experimental selections. The September edition features a tribute to Japanese composer Susumu Yokota, along with the music from the butt of one of the tortured souls in the 15th Century Hieronymus Bosch painting "The Garden of Earthly Delights" and more.

Zach will keep you guessing on The Lot Radio, presenting anything from a completely improvised live performance to choice jazz/ambient/deep electronic selections from his vinyl collection.  You can hear him every second, third, and fourth Monday from 8am-10am EST.
