For the 87th release on Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital, two gifted producers from Egypt and Poland join forces to share their unique musical vision in the form of two collaborations titled "Sinai" and "Poza".

A successful artist in his own right, ETCH saw his musical tastes shaped while spending his childhood in London. Although born in Cairo, the Egyptian formed an impressive career while living in Sharm El-Sheikh as Art Director of BPA Agency and Space Sharm. A seasoned performer around the clubs of his adopted Sharm home at the likes of Pacha, Eden Ibiza, and Space, further appearances at Gazgolder in Moscow and KaZantip Festival in Ukraine have showcased an emerging talent. Previous releases on Perspectives Digital and Timeless Moment have together enhanced a growing reputation.

Now permanently settled in his adopted Israeli home, Polish born Anartist has over a decade's experience in Tel Aviv's renowned nightlife. With crossover appeal in a range of genres from Progressive and Tech House to Melodic and peak time Techno, Anartist has continued to make a name for himself with a series of high-profile releases on the likes of BeatFreak Recordings and Freegrant Music. The result of this sonic melting pot of ideas is a desire "to take the people on a journey into their mind and soul."

With an effervescent bouncing bass, "Sinai" immediately impresses with its powerful groove. Evolving with ease, traditional vocal phrases flow across the track alongside organic instrumentation. Intelligent synth phrasing creates a wonderful dancefloor component that then combines with traditional elements. The outcome is a sublime sonic collage that is sure to find favor at clubs and outdoor gatherings throughout the summer.

Opening with a chest-thumping kick and hypnotic groove, a fizzing bassline and syncopated arpeggio align in mesmeric fashion as "Poza" quickly hits its stride. A vocal loop adds texture as a repeated synth phrase provides further counterpoint weight. Rising and falling around a stripped-back breakdown of white noise and pitched synths, a rousing crescendo heralds a powerful second half that combines all rhythmic and melodic components in a potent aural mix.

Continuing a strong fall season, Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Paul Angelo and Don Argento back to the label for a new EP. Hailing from Cyprus, the much-loved duo have been regular contributors to Movement Recordings, having appeared on the label eight times since making their debut in 2017. Often walking the line between melodic house and techno and progressive house, Paul and Don have become fixtures in Beatport's sales charts over the last calendar year, with a string of impressive outings via Clubsonica Records, Timeless Moment and UV. Now following an excellent remix of Tash and Starkato (also coming courtesy of Movement), Paul and Don return to their comfortable home of Movement Recordings with 'Kyla / Dorcha', alongside remixes from Gai Barone and LORRAINNE.

Beginning with 'Kyla' Paul and Don explore the astral sound for which they've become so loved. Energetic and rhythmic in all the right ways, fiery percussion and spaced-out tones descend over the rippling foundation, as rolling arps and vibrant effects converge for cosmic moments. Gradually opening up across the first act, it's a series of esoteric chord changes which initiate the main break. Expanding further across the one-minute centrepiece, modulation peaks against a backdrop of sweeping noise, eventually giving way to the thunderous groove for a spirited finale. The companion piece 'Dorcha' follows suit with another unique amalgamation of progressive house and techno. Backed by a buoyant and well contoured groove, it's bounce and drive quickly become infectious. Billowing stabs and trailing effects offset each other nicely, as romping rhythms build momentum across the first act. Arpeggiated hooks strike at opportune moments, adding rhythmic depth as layers of sonic artefacts saturate your senses during a dramatic break and thrilling final movement.

Making her label debut and providing the lone interpretation of 'Kyla' is LORRAINNE. Splitting time between London and Madrid, the Spanish artist first emerged just over a year ago with a string of well received releases via ONISM. 2021 has only furthered LORRAINNE's rise, with projects for Krafted Underground and Flemcy Music landing with maximum impact. Now embarking on the most anticipated remix of her young career, LORRAINNE debuts on Movement Recordings with a stellar take on 'Kyla'. Fluid and groovy in equal measure, it's a mix that carries the sensibility of the original, while adding a spacier vibe through unique sonic artefacts and otherworldly effects. Building beautifully into an early break, nostalgic chord changes add an emotive flair, while the lead theme continues to carry tension towards a classy crescendo and heartfelt finale.

The release concludes with Gai Barone making his label debut and providing the lone interpretation of 'Dorcha'. The Italian producer has had a remarkable thirteen-year career. Regarded by fans and contemporaries as a master melodic craftsman, Gai continues to deliver some of the most emotive music that the electronic underground has to offer. Afterglow, Beatfreak and Timeless Moment have served as landing spots for Gai's transcendent sound, while a recent partnership with British producer Luke Brancaccio has yielded chart topping releases via Lost and Found and Selador. Now adding Movement Recordings to his resume, Gai debuts on the Greek imprint with a powerful retention of 'Dorcha'. Opting for a distinctly

modern approach, the Italian artist reshapes the track into a colourful collage of emotive audio. A bulbous rhythmic core coupled with timely percussive flurries and captivating effects set the stage for a series of dynamic transitions and unpredictable shifts. Otherworldly in feel, it transfers energy into a centrepiece of tripped out designs and wonky modulation, before a third act of surreal cosmic concepts seal its brilliance. A stunning rendition from the much-loved Italian artist, rounding out another must have offering from Tash's Movement Recordings.

The latest release from Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Ruben Karapetyan back to the label for a new single. The Armenia born; USA based artist made a triumphant return to electronic music in November of last year. Following a ten-year hiatus Ruben's Movement debut 'Gignesthai' delighted progressive house fans with its combination of musicality and groove. Now continuing to build momentum, Ruben returns to Movement Recordings with 'Hathor' alongside remixes from Stan Kolev and Matan Caspi. 

Ruben's ability to craft expressive musical journeys continues to shine on 'Hathor'. Smooth yet muscular, its shapely groove is carved to perfection with rolling undulation driving momentum forward. Developing in waves across the first movement; ethereal phrasing, buoyant arps and exotic drums fill in the framework, before a short break shifts the narrative into mystical territory. Wondrously musical, melodic fragments flow through the centrepiece, conjuring up cross cultural visions, eventually giving way to a tasteful crescendo and rousing finale. 

The first interpretation of 'Hathor' is provided by Stan Kolev who returns to the label for his third appearance. Following his Movement debut in June of 2018 with a remix of 'The Swarm' by Marc DePulse, Stan returned to the label last year with a rousing rendition of Ruben Karapetyan's debut 'Gignesthai'. Long a staple in Beatport's progressive house charts, Stan is one of the most prolific and consistent artists in the genre's history. Now following an impressive 2020 which saw the Miami resident land on Sudbeat Music, UV and his own Outta Limits imprint, Stan returns to Movement once again with a powerful take on 'Hathor'. Always a creative remixer, Stan deconstructs the main elements into fragmented themes for what sits as an ideal complement to the original. Atop a warm, full bodied groove comes dynamic percussion, vocal overlays and vibrant arpeggios. It's a remarkable sonic marriage and one which makes for an energetic yet meditative journey, elegantly peaking as muted beats rise across the main break, cueing a cavernous drop and driving final movement.

Rounding out the release with the second and final interpretation of 'Hathor' is Matan Caspi who returns to the label for his second appearance. June of 2017 marked the Israeli artist's Movement Recordings debut with a well received remix of Ziger's 'Faith In The Future'. Now a constant in Beatport's progressive house charts with releases via his Outta Limits imprint, Matan makes a welcome return to Movement with a huge rendition of 'Hathor'. Encased in an electric shell, it's reshaped groove and rhythmic pulses are vibrant, building momentum as waves of effects and rolling percussion elevate mood towards the main break. Dubbier than its predecessors, atmospheric overlays and hazy harmonics add further intrigue as the centerpiece unfolds, before a rush of drums sparks a commanding drop and percussive finale. A stunning remix from Matan which rounds out a superb offering from Tash's Movement Recordings, continuing a strong start to 2021 for the Greek imprint. Highly recommended.
