Ethan Reeves, a young techno producer and DJ from Cape Town, South Africa, is recognised for his fast paced hypnotic grooves which define his unique sound. He meticulously crafts captivating bass lines by layering different modular synthesisers and adjusting their tones until they create the perfect groove. What sets Ethan apart is his skillfull use of quick breaks strategically placed throughout his tracks. eighth is known for creating and curating temporary worlds as an escape from the ordinary. The intersection between the deep personal connections and daring novel experiences is the essence of his performances taking place in dark warehouses, a church or even the opera house.

As a DJ, eighth takes you on a journey from dark and hypnotic rhythms over to punchy and acoustic melodies. Using an elaborate mix of soft harmonic vibrations combined with sharp percussion he always keeps you dancing into the early morning hours.
