Guiltless

The title of the track refers to the last third of the lyrics, which were written long after the pained, self-blaming introspective thoughts of the rest of the song - almost a letter written in disdain for allowing my former self to live in such a constant state of misery. 
I now realise that I tried as best as I could to fit pieces together that didn't fit, and I shouldn't have put all the blame on myself, as relationships aren't built by one person alone. 
Guiltless and A Letter to Anguish are inspired by the same events.

The main message of this song is to not let people that aren't comfortable in their own skin make you feel bad for being yourself - and for those who are still searching for themselves, appreciate those around you and be inspired by their success, that will help you on your journey far more than letting your envy consume you.

Antagonist

Growing up, my stepfather was abusive towards my mother. He eventually moved on away from my family, but not without leaving behind a trail of lies entangling multiple members of my family that led to irreparable damage.

During the pandemic he contacted me in hopes he could poison mine and my siblings' minds, I wasn't having any of it - coincidentally we had just started writing the instrumentals to this song around that time.
In Guile, I brush up on these old feelings of hatred towards that sadist and let some vengeful fantasies out vocally.

Guile

A song dedicated to all who put their fortune and status in front of their relationships, and are happy to step on others to get what they want.

Throughout life we see and connect with people that view others as nothing more than stepping stones - means to achieve and get to where they want to be.
Many times we see the same behaviour in politicians, they will calculate every word in order to pull on strings only they can see - manipulating people who don't have the slightest idea they're being played.

Hate File was written on how despicable characters like these make us feel.

As a species, we have seen so much suffering by our own hand throughout history, that you'd hope in an age of so much information we would do better than perpetuate the suffering - but it seems never ending. 
Prayer of Deliverance is a cry for justice for all the innocent lives that to this day are forsaken by powerful people that could easily help them - and a prayer that the ones who kindle this suffering are some day faced with a fitting comeuppance.

Prayer Of Deliverance

No Vermin is a raw, scathing exploration of corruption, apathy, and the consequences of both. It serves as a wake-up call, demanding the listener confront the chaos around them rather than seeking solace in ignorance or sedation. The lyrics' bleak yet thought-provoking tone challenges you to break free from cycles of destruction and actively reclaim integrity and justice, albeit with the acknowledgment that such a path is fraught with pain and sacrifice.

Emerging from London’s underground metal scene, Harbinger have spent the past decade carving out a reputation as one of the UK’s most uncompromising and forward-thinking modern metal acts.
