After spending 20 years raising children exclusively, she has become an active member of Seattle’s  music community. Her recordings have earned her nominations for Earshot’s Golden Ear Awards, in the' Vocalist of the Year, Recording of the Year categories.

Rochelle’s cross-genre musical compositions and performances have led to the creation of 'New House Orchestra", an ensemble of emerging musical genius. Composed of individuals whose genius lies not only in their ability to express themselves in the genre in which they were trained but also in their unique ability and willingness to create music outside of “genre” and inside the present moment, with a joyful and careful abandon.

"New House Orchestra" members include at its core: Evan Flory-Barnes, D’Vonne Lewis, and Andy Coe with a range of featured artists including Kate Olson, Thomas Marriott, Teo Shantz, Owuor Arunga, Thione Diop,  Geoff Harper, and Tim Kennedy, Donormaal and Rave Holly
