Les Sorciers Berbères is a celebratory blender of different cultures, tastes and sorcerous gatherings, which have been hunted down by Brno based producer and esteemed figure of the local cauldron, DJ Alud (Petr aka Plast). Presented as his second full length EP but for this time marauding the label's waters under his most recent alias demonstrating allures to hip-hop, drum breaks and IDM genres.

Seven distinctive tracks across the release take part in dealing with turmoils of the city's "shanty”. Packed with sampled jungle, ghetto and uk sound, followed by minimal melodies and field recordings.

No nonsense from the top with Istanbul, setting the tone, an electrifying low-step, interrogative drum n' bass and a sonorous vocal by ynttt that give way to Hustler, which hurdles through uk infused dreamy breaks. Msemmen&Distortion experiments as an intermezzo based in Morocco.
Crossing the Brook is a reminder of 90's IDM melodies, while Fragments of M emerges in a bath of vocal harmony to which tight samples lead the way thru the whole track and invoke places like Casablanca or Marrakesh.

Refix n.1 and Line AC16/FlowdonTown are remixes of Charli XCX and Flowdan - so as flesh without a flash drive is just flesh we have kept the last two tracks as bonuses, which will only be available on physical release.

The intriguing tale of French duo Kimshies continues… Their sole release from 2004 re-upped into the ether by Solomun in 2018, it triggered a return to the studio after almost 15 years. Making up for lost time, they’ve already dropped two exceptional EPs on Nein. Now comes their Duro debut… And it’s a perfect dark disco match.  

Even the title says as much ‘Fucked Up Mama’: a scuzzy, frazzled jam rich in oiled distortion and lighting strike synths and a rising case of venomous acid mid-way, there’s a grit in the groove that’s going to take more than a few lockdown handwashes to feel clean from. It’s coupled by a series of equally forthright remixes: fresh from completing his debut album for Life & Death, Disco Halal alumni Autarkic strips your mama down to her kickdrum undies and redresses her in a dynamic laser laced charmer.  

He’s in good company… Nein brethren Cabaret Nocturne makes a welcome appearance with a creeping dark electro twist while La Dame Noir’s Arthur Johnson gets busy with two perspectives; one where the swing and organs provide funky refreshment and a bonus one which takes us right back into the gritty analog mama-fucking attitude of the original. PREMIERE : Kimshies - Fucked Up Mama

The first release in the newly launched label Sonorous Chamber is a captivating industrial, ambient, tribal-influenced 5-track compilation.

The resolute pace of KGBK‘s ‘Glue’ is narrated with a distopian diatribe from the pages of Orwell’s ‘1984’. Tension and release play throughout in waves and cycles of clambering risers, haunting siren calls, sonar pings, and manifesting synth lines tracked by a monolith bass tone.

PRÈMIÉRE: KGBK - Glue [Sonorous Chamber]

Tęsiame Dykumos svečių mixų seriją, prie kurios šį kartą jungiasi talentinga didžėja @gemayelsandra. Sandra atkreipė mūsų dėmesį dar karantino laikotarpiu, kai grojo @lizdasclub tiesioginėje transliacijoje. Vėliau, kelis kartus paklausę jos gyvai prie Perono bėgių, nelikome abejingi jos drąsiam braižui ir skoningai selekcijai bei pakvietėme ją ant dykuminių kilimų.

Muzikos observatoriją baigusi Sandra pastaraisiais metais pasinėrė į elektroninę muziką, o prieš pusmetį jos talentas atsiskleidė Lizdo Akademijoje, kuri suteikė dar didesnę platformą kilti aukščiau. Jos grojamoje muzikoje tamsūs motyvai persipina su gilesne, bet intensyvia stilistika, o kokybiškas selekcijos nenuspėjamumas gali puikuotis jos vizitinėje kortelėje.

Prieš rugsėjo 11-osios Dykumos renginį @barasperonas trumpai šnektelėjome su Sandra apie jos santykį su muziką ir įkvėpimus.

1. Kaip apibūdintum šį įrašytą mixą?

Jame atsispindi mano ilgai kaupta muzika, kurią slėpdavau savo Bandcampo wishliste. Dabar atėjo puiki proga mėgiamus kūrinius išsiimti ir smagu tuo pasidalinti šiame mixe.

2. Muzika tau artima jau ilgą laiką, o neseniai užbaigei Juozo Grušo muzikos konservatoriją. Ką joje mokeisi?

Konservatorijoje mokiausi ketverius metus. Per šį laiką grojau pianinu ir trejus metus dainavau džiazą. Paskutiniais metais nusprendžiau mokytis muzikos produkcijos, taip ir pradėjau domėtis muzikos kūryba.

3. Palyginus, visai neseniai atsidūrei klubinėje scenoje. Kaip tas potraukis atsirado?

I klubinę sceną pasukau dar besimokydama konservatorijoje, baigdama 12 klasę. Mane visada žavėdavo didžėjai, grojimas atrodydavo lyg savas menas. Aš dažniausiai būdavau ta, kuri stovėdavo prie pulto klube ir stebėdavau, kaip jie sukioja mikšerį. Domėtis elektronine muzika pradėjau prieš kelis metus išgirdusi Lindstrom dj pasirodymą. Na, o Lizdo klube pirmą kartą apsilankiau po to, kai draugas parodė Pardon Moi gabalą („Power to the people”). Tuomet gyvenime atsirado daug naujų žmonių, vietų, nepažintų garsų, muzikos ir žanrų.

4. Tavo grojamoje muzikoje netrūksta tamsesnių elementų. Kaip pati galėtum ją apibūdinti?

Mano stilius yra tikrai klampus ir įvairus. Man nepatinka monotoniškumas, todėl stengiuosi kuo labiau paįvairinti savo selekciją, o tamsią melodiją pateikti šviesiai.

5. Kas tavo muzikiniuose planuose nusimato toliau?

Šiuo metu daug leidžiu laiko prie muzikos kūrybos, noriu tikėti, kad su laiku patobulėsiu ir kažkur su savo kūryba nukeliausiu. Grojimo atžvilgiu, turėjau planą A tapti Lizdo rezidente, jis, atrodo, pavyko, o dabar turiu tikslą sugroti ir Opium klube.

6. Kokie muzikiniai atradimai tave žavi pastaruoju metu?

Atradimų yra tikrai nemažai, bet labai pradėjau domėtis 80’s-90’s kūrinių editais. Vienas jų būtų HOTARU! Jo kūrinių jau esu ne vieną įsirašius ir nusipirkus.

6. Jeigu būtum išmesta į Dykuma tik su palapine ir miegmaišiu, kokius tris daiktus pasiimtum su savim?

Tai būtų kompiuteris su ausinėm, cigaretės ir maistas.

The third instalment from Jac The Disco's 'Spin on This' output delivers the slow chugging affair of 'Hot Like The Sun' The EP features remixes from London's Kiwi who over the years has created a sound all of his own which has gained support from the likes of DJ Harvey, DJ Tennis and Optimo to name a few.
