Cleaning up my computer and files I came across many tracks I've done in the past that are useless and horrible. Buuut I found a couple that I felt could work pretty well nowadays. Everyone is playing fast, so let's just go back in time to my hard drive 7 to 10 years ago and enjoy some 105 to 110 bpm tunes. Repetitive, groovy, heavy basslines and a good old snare.

Dina Summer's new album, Girls Gang, out on January 24th, is the highly anticipated follow-up to 2022’s acclaimed 10-track LP Rimini. Joshua Murphy was born and raised in rural Australia, before eventually moving to Berlin and becoming involved in the local scene as a member of various bands (Crime & The City Solution), local promoter and music venue curator released his debut solo EP Lowlands (2022) on aufnahme + wiedergabe.

PREMIERE - Black Light Smoke Feat. Leah Lazonick - Take Me Out (Cabaret Nocturne Remix)

Having lost his eyes, ears, nose and mouth it was apparent that he needed to do something quickly. After all he was about to go on a date with that girl he swiped right with on Tinder  (Other dating apps are available) and he was getting on with her really well,  they'd even exchanged the sort of pictures that you wouldn't show your own mother. But this was a crisis. He was meeting her in just over an hour and he looked nothing like he did in the profile picture as all his facial features had just faded into what looked like a skin coloured balloon. It's a good job that there was a shop selling replacement parts nearby.  That shop was called Local Face.
The lower sky crumbles, the upper sky growls but the Middle Sky Booms...  and it is Middle Sy Boom, calling on Moshe Abutbul and Shahar Hatch to add a smidge of organic life to this metal machine music and handing over the stems to Ghost Form.  This slowed down analogue jam is well worth your time with the Alvaro Cabana seal of approval this is up there with the best of Rotten City Records... and even if the drop in the second half does melt those pretty little facial features, don't worry, you are never too far from a Local Face.
