 " It's All About The Bangin"  - Keeping with the theme of the EP, the duo lay down a maximum big room monster intended for the last wallflower as well as the serious party-animal. Minimalistic 4x4 married to magical chords with the hot & cool vocal trade--off....Celebration Techno.

 " Large Mechanics (Modulation Dub Mix)  - Stripped & delivered proper by Detroit's own DJ K1. Straight, no chaser.
 " Alien FM Mantra (Station to Station ID)   - Not a track, but a vocal ID directly from the groups antenna/Used as a DJ tool voice over in sets.... Eerie broadcasted vocal concept and description left clear of music. A Puzzlebox recordings staple.

Exactly one year after my 2022 release entitled 'Agitation Propaganda', I return with a collection of new tracks that were produced between the middle of 2022 and early 2023. This 20-track album, as the title suggests, is a tribute to the love affair that I have with making music. In 2023 I celebrate my 40th birthday so I thought it was good timing to release a concept album that pays homage to the one true love that I've ever known- Synthesis ♥️

This album, as with the last, relies heavily on the sounds of classic synthesizers/drum machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, SH-2, JX-8P, System 100, Juno 60, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, as well as some contemporary additions to my studio like Hydrasynth, System 8, MC-707, MicroFreak, Prophet Rev2, Novation Peak, Minilogue, SE-02, and Microkorg.

The artwork for the album was done by the brilliant artist Kelly Gilleran, who also just so happens to be my long-term girlfriend. She is a pattern designer, painter, and illustrator. Her work can be found here: www.kellygilleran.redbubble.com/

Alphanova is a french duo based in Paris & Barcelona. Made of Yuli de Borde & Hader. The two DJs & Producers launched their duo project after teaming up for the creation of Disquette Records, the parisian based crew made of DJs, Producers, VJ, Photographers, filmmakers & Graphic artists. 

After playing in B2B together for a lot of events, they decided to start their own duo project: Alphanova ! The project focus on Italo Disco, EBM & Dark Disco and take inspiration from artists like Pablo Bozzi, Kendal, Alen Skanner, Biesmans, John Noseda just to name a few.

The project started in 2022, playing in many venues such as the legendary club Badaboum in Paris, The Flow, Folies Pigalles and a series of festivals during the summer. Alphanova already released “First impressions” their 1st EP including 2 original Tracks (“Creatine” & “Body Talk”) and 3 remixes from Miguel de Bois, Zaatar & Ramtarr. The project is already supported from many DJs in the scene including Pablo Bozzi, Belaria etc…

Mascarpone is an electronic music project created in 2018 by Hugo Bussiere. Drawing from EBM, Detroit Techno, and Industrial Music, Mascarpone evolves at the crossroads of several genres. Utilizing dark analog sounds, drum machine beats, and robotic voices, Mascarpone pays homage to all the great artists who have influenced his music, such as Dopplereffekt, Kraftwerk, and The Hacker.

The interesting Barcelona/Berlin-based label MM Discos, expertly managed by Da Silva & DJ Katah also known as the duo Moon&Mann, adds another chapter to its compelling story: “Night Runner”, the brand-new endeavour of the in-house collective Statues, hits the shelves of your favourite retailer before the official end of the European winter packed with five made-with-love beautiful authorial gems.

Hailing from London, Statues is fronted by Bradley Lucke and Mark Crooks and occasionally joined by a wide range of artists for spot-on collaborations. For those not familiar with their work, we recommend a quick stroll through their previous appearances on Claremont 56, eclectics, Is It Balearic…?, and MM Discos itself.

Premiered here, the opening theme of the EP is the result of the combination of bouncing percussive elements, melodic synth riffs, and a throbbing bassline. The enchanting vocals by Mochudi are the icing on the cake. A true cosmic Balearic trip infused with shards of psychedelic and Kraut elements, showcasing the talent of the team in bringing seamlessly together some of their most important influences.

L.A's Luke C delivers a Kraut Rock tinged remix of New Mexico band Tan Cologne for his own Velvet Bikini imprint...
The project was birthed via a meeting and performance by Tan Cologne at Luke’s Los Angeles gallery and event space 2-3 FAIR. The resulting remix of recent single “Visitation” stays true to the dream-like state of the original, refitting it with a galloping motorik groove and propelling bass weight.
