Dubstrong is not a one style DJ. Who chooses his dancefloor goes on a journey through hip hop, funk, soul, brazil, breaks & beats, all tied by a strong influence of Jamaican dub and dancehall. It's a real trip over the latest trends in music or it's roots, which Dubstrong wishes to maintain.

Resident DJ at Sao Paulo's finest clubs Dubstrong has become one of the most sought after DJs in the country, his good entry with the public led him to be precise reference in the main events of its kind in Brazil. Fact is that the DJ was responsible for opening presentations of key icons of music such as Public Enemy, Snoop Doggy Dog, De La Soul, DJ Shadow, Massive Attack, DJ Z-Trip, Bomb The Bass, Kruder & Dormeister, DJ A-Trak, Kid Loco, Mad Professor, U-Roy, The Wailers among others. 

In the years of 2010 and 2013 Dubstrong was the winner of Sao Paulo's edition of  'Red Bull Thre3Style' World DJ Championships.

Before that, in 2001, Dubstrong joined the line-up of the first 'Ecosystem' festival organized by DJ Soul Slinger that shook Amazonian lands with many international guests. Even outside of Sao Paulo, showed his work in Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Florianópolis, Camburiu, Blumenau, Belo Horizonte, Campo Grande, Manaus, Salvador, Goiania, Rio de Janeiro, Brasilia and Campos do Jordao, as well as presentations in clubs in Los Angeles (Low End Theory) and New York, always at large events and they had in their sights biggest names in national and international scene.

Resident DJ at the prestigious 'Chocolate' party since 2002, Dubstrong joins his partners DJs Zegon, Nuts, Primo (rip) and King to bring the public quality music and receive at their parties starry international names like Cut Chemist, Madlib, Wildchild, Busy P, DJ Roc Raida, DJ Nu-mark (Jurassic 5), DJ Revolution, Maseo (De La Soul), Mayer Hawthorne, DJ Neil Armstrong (Jay-Z), J-Live, Boogie Blind, The Alchemist, DJ Green Lantern, Mixed Sinista (X-Ecutioners) the Beat Junkies J.Rocc, Babu and Shortkut.

Dubstrong is also founder of Echo Sound System, a brazilian collective sound system who releases an critic aclaimed album "Tempo Vai Dizer' in 2004.

Play The Following Impact At The End Of Feb 2011.

Syco was first introduced to the Acid House movement way back in the inaugural days of the early Rave scene. Finding himself on the dancefloor of Gt Yarmouth Richard’s Parties during the halcyon 1988 Summer of Love, he realised he had arrived at an important point in time for music and culture. Wanting to be a part of the movement, fervour and runaway bliss of the moment, he took up DJing after seeing Hardcore Godfather Carl Cox rock out one of his legendary sets on three decks. 

He instantly fell in love with the music. He tells us “you walked into the room and it was like another world. A whole experience where House music took over. Back in the day you would play everything together. There were no boundaries to the music and DJs weren’t afraid to blend different genres together to create a musical journey”. 

From this point on he immersed himself in the scene, working with XL Records, the label that first thrust the Prodigy into the large lens of the public scene. During this period he played alongside such greats as LTJ Bukem, DJ Hype, Slipmatt and legendary Rave group Liquid. During this time he had his first record deal with Ozone Recordings, releasing two singles including Say Aaagh, which was played by John Peel on his late night sessions show. 

Syco’s career took off further in 1992 when he formed Dance on Arrival, or DOA for short, a group that managed to land a deal with Drum N Bass label Boogie Beat. They released two singles, I Like It and Muppet Mayhem, both of which received considerable airtime on the scene, making their way into the boxes of a number of big name DJs such as Ratty and Carl Cox. 

In addition to his releases, Syco also played at the Norwich Sound City gigs in 1992 at the Waterfront – a venue specially created to accommodate this event. He played on the ones and twos alongside N-Joi, Prodigy, Shaman and Orbital playing two sets for XL Records, his employer at the time. Following this he co-formed Another Dimension, a project that went on to spawn both the Wardance and Red Seal record labels, grabbing a major club smash with the Afterlife EP by 39 Orbits. 

Taking some time out between 1997 and 2005, Syco decided to return to the scene in bringing his Old School attitude to the then current soundscape, settling on an eclectic sound base on Hard Techno. This sub-genre best reminded him of the original Acid House scene, passing more than a nod towards the original European sounds. 

Syco is still passionate about the music in the same way as he has always been – from those first days of opening his ears to the first notes of the Rave scene. Instead of listening at record shops he spends hours sifting through samples online of hundreds of tunes. He has an absolute ear for good music and the ability to pull out sounds and select records from a huge slice of time, bringing a dash of both the old and new to any party at which he plays.

Teve seu primeiro contato com a música por volta do ano de 1999, onde se apresentava como percurssionista ao lado da Banda Bangalô Blues.
Aos 18 anos de idade, influenciado pelo crescimento da musica eletrônica no Brasil, conheceu o Techno, estilo o qual se apaixonou.

Ao longo dos anos para cá, depois de muito trabalho e dedicação, desenvolveu um estilo de produção único e logo deu inicio ao seu projeto.
Seu live P.A. é composto por produções de sua autoria e parcerias com grandes artistas  como Malke, Leon Kb, Nortech, Chor, MvTica, SNL, Victor P. entre outros, nas suas apresentações, caracteristicas marcantes são as batidas com peso e ao mesmo tempo muito groove em um ritmo que viaja do Techno ao Hardcore.

No início de 2011 fez sua primeira turnê internacional pelas cidades de Valência e Barquisimeto na Venezuela. No Brasil já se apresentou nos maiores clubes e festas, nas cidades de Curitba, Fortaleza e São Paulo.

Teve trabalhos muito reconhecidos lançados nos mais renomados selos ao redor do mundo e mixados por grandes artistas como Lukas, PetDuo, Tobias Luke | OBI, Malke, Destro entre outros.
Em parceria com alguns artistas brasileiros criou o HardDefinition Records, selo de muito destaque com produções de artistas de todo o mundo.

Junto aos amigos foi fundador do antigo núcleo Surtech, e hoje, ao lado do Dj Barboza é residente e sócio da TechNeura, núcleo de muito respeito e reconhecimento na cidade de São Paulo.

O projeto visa resgatar o melhor do verdadeiro techno, tendo como prioridade fortalecer a cena, dando espaço tanto para talentos conhecidos quanto a novos projetos do gênero. A qualidade musical aliado ao profissionalismo sao as aspirações do núcleo, que vem para cobrir a demanda de iniciativas na regiao e dar um  novo gás para a cultura techno. 
Com a criação do projeto surgiu a idéia do Substance Podcast onde os seguidores terão a oportunidade de ouvir e baixar sets exclusivos quinzenalmente.
