the main track on this release by @deroos. 

this track came to fruition being an experiment to see reach an authentic sound to reflect myself. this whole track is fully composed, arranged, recorded and written by me and it is a true expression of the artistic side of me. 

i describe this a deep ritualistic and mysterious track, with a forward motion, to takes the listener on a journey. the lyrics and vocals represent an emotion that i find hard to grasp at times, being alone, feeling alone but yet surround by energy & feelings all the time. 

this is my first expression within music, i truly hope you enjoy it.

I'm honored, grateful, and absolutely thrilled to share a very special 2 hour mix on the Proton radio station of my dear friend @blackvelveteennow. This is my first posted set in 16 months, and trust me, it's all been worth the wait. Put in those headphones and buckle up for the ride!

The Proton Amplified initiative is an ever-evolving platform showcasing artists historically marginalized by the music industry, including but not limited to women, BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ folks.

Up next on Proton Radio's Amplified series is another good friend Lisa Moreno aka Queen Lisa. We've known each other for a while now and bonded over many things and in particular music. When we lived in the Bay Area and Lisa would come over to the house and at that time she was just getting into the dj stuff. We spent more than a few weekends with her testing tracks and really finding what she liked and didn't like. We have shared the stage a few times and as members of Airpusher Collective, shared many memorable experiences. She has a great ear and passion for what she does and is a dear friend. Distance may separate us, however whenever we get together we pick up right where we left off. She's a gem of a human and am honored to call her friend. This mix is something special, so I suggest you carve out the close to two hours needed to enjoy this voyage. It will take you some good places. I am excited for you all to have a listen to this goodness.

For the 133nd edition of Desert Hut Podcast Series, we’re pleased to welcome Tebra.

Tebra a.k.a. Milojko Jaric was born on the 7th of June, 1985. The idea for the Tebra project came after years of producing different electronic music genres.

Soon after starts the big and active work on music making and production inspired by Balkan ethnic music and world music in general. Many tracks are compiled, production gets better and better and after a couple of years of hard work he finally finds the sound that will become his main occupation in the upcoming period. 
In the autumn of 2017 Ritual records released two Tebra tracks as part of his first E.P. named “Suton”. That release gathered the attention of wide audience and soon after another track (Istok) got released under 8Cell Records (sub label of Tesseract Studio)
After the initial releases, Tebra`s music got increasingly exposed, many offers from the various record labels and invitations for Live Set and DJ performances started to follow.

Show Time, enjoy this week’s episode hosted by Spanish DJ & producer duo, KYODAI. Kyodai means "brothers" in Japanese and that's a good clue for guessing who’s behind these two heads, the producers are known under a variety of different names! They started at the end of the 90’s their main project called WAGON COOKIN’ alongside with their own record label APPETIZERS and the duo gained respect from musical heavyweights like Lauren Garnier, Masters At Work, Jimpster, Gilles Peterson, Rainer Trüby, and they regularly release under a variety of different names for labels such as Compost, Odori, Om, Lovemonk......... 
Kyodai together with Wagon Cookin have had a strong run of releases since their debut here on Freerange Records Their "Mi Rumba EP" must have impressed a lot of people as they went on to release a follow up EP for Mad Mats blossoming Local Talk label with "Breaking EP", supported by top names, until reaching the top list of the Gilles Peterson's "An All Winners Show", and to be part of the GTA V soundtrack, also have an EP due on Poker Flat called "Never Know". Kerri Chandler dug it enough to include on his RA podcast and it was also picked up for the Cielo Compilation on Nervous, resulting many request for remixes and productions. 
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the label and their first acclaimed album APPETIZERS both with the same name, they are preparing a bunch of releases restarting the label with the original Album in digital format and new EP’s counting for this special occasion with big names from the electronic scene as well.

Ninsa: The interstellar “remix version” on Gabriels SoundCloud is a track that I’ve listened to many times. I love it and when we searched for inspiration we started to talk about how shitty it is that it’s just on SoundCloud and nowhere else. So we just made our own interpretation.

When we are creating, we find a balance somewhere in between of both our styles. There is no other mentor and friend that I would wish for in this music journey.


Ananda: “ Not many movies or events hit my deepest pain of being separated as much as interstellar. They did something right with this movie and the soundtrack is on point.

So in one of our sessions, Ninsa and I couldn't find something that moved us equally so we just decided to go into these chords of Hans Zimmer. 

The heaviness of the remix on soundcloud isn't so much in this one, so i decided to create contrast by also showing the happy side of that Theme in the break..

Ninsa is not only a really good friend and an amazing, hard working talent as a DJ and all that is connected to it, her passion also lights me up a little so that i feel motivated to make some more techno tracks and also enjoy playing on parties more. So big thanks for that.
