Fletch grew up in the countryside but lucky for him his closest town was Cheltenham UK.
In the early 90s two massive rave organisations, Fantasia and Obsession, were based in Cheltenham.
Although too young to go to many of the early raves, he had access to the tape packs from the raves, meaning he got to witness Techno, Hardcore emerge from very early on from Djs, Easygroove, Scorpio, Producer and Clarkee as well as many International Djs that Obsession and Fantasia booked.
I am stuck in 1993/4 when techno and hardcore were together and the 303 was a main part of the music.

Been into the harder side of rave music since the tender age of 9-10,, & had my first set of decks some shitty belt drive sound lab, at the age of 14!! Of that time, it was just a toy, a thing to mess about with!! but by the age 16 I got serious about it, and got some geminni direct drives, (600s I think) got stuck in and practiced at every chance I got.......  then at the  age of 18-19 id got pretty good at it, and got my self a pair of technics 1210s & djm 600.  Then the path of Dj D-SPAIR was born  ;-P  then it took a few more years to get myself out there, Dj'ing... Then back in 2007 was the first set I got at a rave called AKSESS up stoke town,, which became a weekly night!! it was a multi genre rave night, where I was one of the only two hardcore techno dj's which played there.... so it quickly became a weekly thing.... then from there went to dj at many more hardcore techno events mainly around the Stoke-on-Trent area, up until a few years ago, where iv not really being doing nothing due to family tie's.... But now iv had a few years to ponder and I know what I want to achive, an iyle grab it with both hands and hopfully  2023 is the year that Dj D-SPAIR becomes the artist I deserve to be...  WATCH THIS SPACE..................
