Exercised my body, putting weight up on my torso. I couldn't carry so I prayed for some assistance; landed on my knee, looked up to see the risen. Osha would be proud, team lifting the sound. Hands on the plow, feet planted in the ground. I found the bar is set higher than my reach, that's why I walk in the light and don't preach. Where's the unity, in this community? What's your view? What's your opinion? Does it matter? Or does it not? (probably not) It's more than a belief that I speak with intellectual speech, plus profess what I teach. Solid as a man with a divine plan, holding God's hand so tight cause no man is superman to me. Trust in a higher fortress. This genuine metamorphosis shows life is blessed when you intertwined wit the power no flesh can deny. So then unity is void when it's not making valid points, or making noise, in the inner cities across the nation!

Dear Mama, please tell me that you’re proud of your baby boy for all of the noise that I’m making now. Unannounced, no reason should be needed for you to receive praise for raising this demon. Single mother I love you for what you sacrificed; them younger days when you were stuck working late nights. I didn’t understand. Couldn’t fully comprehend. You were doing this for us, life was no pretend. All I wanted was a father and some siblings, manifested into passive aggression; I’m breaking things. Envious of each father and son on my team, but I learned from it to become the man you see.

Thought to write you a poem then I reconsidered; nothing more permanent than audible affection. Some new perspectives have come along the way but my end goal still remains to make sure you’re safe and sound. To hear that now, brings to my face tears of joy and a smile. All them “oh so lonely, only child problems” faded the moment I decided to choose progress. Some call it conscious, I say look at the context. No matter who came into our lives, there was no contest. That unconditional love no one could ever replace, that saving grace that never quite called it quits on me. A brief synopsis from trophies to court fees, E.R. visits while I was overdosing, honor roll speeches, visits on the weekend; the latter applying to both jail and rehab.

May every letter come as a sincere dedication, forever indebted; you gave me life and I vow not to waste it. No one song alone could pay homage for what I truly owe you and if it’s old news, well here’s a reprint I feel fit to publish. Not simply words, it’s an emotion, a sensation amidst the headspace I’ve just invaded. Sold objective is still the same as it has ever been: more timeless music, for you, to relate with.

Not a father diss or sneak attack on any other woman when I speak these words; action verbs fill me with gratitude. A higher power I can’t quite seem to put my finger on and above all else it soothes my restlessness. Talking, whether in rhyme form or paced for the sake of flow, doesn’t really seem to matter so I serve it to you all. Whether I mic check for paychecks or to be of service, with the right motives it will always be worth it.

Heaven, is a mysterious place. Some spend their whole life caught up in a chase, in a hustle, in a struggle, in search of a mind state; never really taking the time to self evaluate. Heaven, is it figurative or literal? A parable to match all these stories that are biblical? Enlightenment? Heightening of senses we're given? Somewhere along the lines of alchemy and spiritualism? I want: Heaven, to not only be a part of me but something I can help my sisters and brothers achieve. Fighting all these demons, must be something watching, but with superficial religions I cannot link! Heaven, out of reach? Prove it to me plainly. Otherwise I'm waiting on the next plane to leave. Passport, backpack, plus tons of foreign land. Count me in. The Traveling Man...

Jotting down thoughts just to pick apart the writer's block; couple of these conversations feels like I'm writing blogs. What inspires me? Do I see the irony? Is this really a lifestyle? Don't you cherish privacy? Truth is I do this because it's GOD given: Gaining Optimism Daily, hoping to make a difference, leave an imprint, goals from ambitions that otherwise never would've grown to fruition. Now that there is heaven on earth. Similar to the experience of being across the globe from your place of birth yet, still at home. Regardless of location, learning to atone. I want a piece of mind but don't know which. Busy carving my own niche instead of being short lived. In an attempt toward thinking long term, I project with passion these obscure words.

Ambitions, goals we all strive toward. A babbling champion, campaigning, but what for? Check your hearts at the door. Lost, not yet found, the story of so many souls, regardless of the town. It's become quite eclectic, with or without content, that sixth man on the bench. The shoulders we crawled upon, just to disrespect, the second we moved up from that ground floor. So catch me in the lobby moving forward toward providence. I keep a long list of those I've shared gratitudes with. Independent but never alone, I let the conscience collective decide where I roam. From home to Rome to wherever I touch next. No VIP necessary, make it easy to connect. Rocking whole sets in the crowd how I rep. Aware of my every step, knowing I'm blessed!

Originally founded in the late 90's, Hardstep Records primarily made and distributed Electronic Dance Music. Based in Oxnard,California Hardstep produced records which gained popularity world wide. In 2006 the founder of Hardstep Vince Serrano, gave his life to the Lord. Soon after, with a vision to use Hardstep as a platform to glorify the Lord and produce inspirational uplifting music, Hardstep Records was back. In 2010 Hardstep released the mix tape "Change Your Life Music". 

With a new focus on hip hop Change Your Life Music received national acclaim by bringing together hip hop artists LightningCloud, Bizzle, and more. In 2011 Hardstep released The Rein4cements mix tape "Illuminated". This highly anticipated mixtape featured crowd favorite tracks such as Grace and Mercy and Supernatural ft. Priceless. In 2012 Hardstep released "Out of Darkness". 

The long awaited Priceless mix tape proved that Hardstep could expand its reach to more than just hip hop but could reach the r&b market as well. In 2013 Hardstep released the Leonti produced album "The Redemption Project". This dance hip hop hybrid, brings an original twist to the sound Hardstep started with. Featuring Hardstep artists The Rein4cements,SISY,Priceless and Olivia Rockell along with Red Cloud, Jordan Lara, Revolutionary, and Bree Kay The Redemption Project is sure to set bars in Christian Music.
