The collaboration between Kelton Prima (Mathematics Rec) and Hard Ton marks another step forward. After their cover of Culture Club’s mega hit Miss Me Blind, that got released last year on Nang with a set of great remixes, this time they bring back to life Too Funky, the seminal track by George Michael, celebrating hedonism, love and fashion. The Glamour, the fun and the funk are not missed in their version, with a strong reminiscence of 80’s disco and soulful pop. “Would you like me to seduce you”?

The package comes with the original and dub versions alongside remixes from Norwegian disco don Prins Thomas and Love Attack label head Alan Dixon.

One of the core strengths of Italian house duo Hard Ton has always been the ability to find other creative figures in the scene for collaborations. The new single "Right Now" on Luv Shack Records is no exception; with a feature of Spiller, one of the heroes of the Filter House era and a remix by none other than Dimitri From Paris & Dj Rocca aka Erodiscotique.

The original version sees singer Max lay down a sugary falsetto on top of a filtered disco loop, drum machine patterns curtesy of producer Wawashi add a bit of Hard Ton flair.

Dimitri From Paris & DJ Rocca pair up to deliver an Erodiscotique Remix of the highest grandeur; bouncy drums, detuned synth stabs and a tropical piano take Max´s vocals to new heights on this version.

Finally the Erodiscotique dubstrumental thins out the vox while going crazy on the handclaps to full effect.

This EP is the last tease before the first official Hard Ton album will be released on Luv Shack Records!

HARD TON are the italian duo with the larger than life disco sound and a surprising love of metal. Fused together in 2008 from the musical loins of DJ Wawashi and heavy metal singer Max. Sylvester-styled falsettos conjure up memories of smoky dancefloors during the heady days of HI-NRG, which combined with a contemporary sound of accelerated beats and screaming acid basslines, shows a nod to the past can result in a slap across the face for the present. 
Using analogue and vintage gear, from the 303, 606, 707, Oberheim DMX, Korg Monopoly, MS20, Prophet V5, the music is as organic as synthetic music can be, their equipment living and dying by its own unpredictable rules.
