Eric Thompson, professionally known as ETHOS XCIX [pronounced “ee·thows, nine·tee·nine” ] is an emo bass artist based out of Minnesota that also happens to be passionate about helping those in dark places. Taking a wide range of influences from the likes of more emo artists like Nickisgonenow, guccihighwaters, and Lil Peep to complex EDM sound design like Kaivon, ILLENIUM, and YDG, ETHOS XCIX ties the emo and EDM genres together in the most vulnerable way - breaking your heart AND your neck. The sad boy anthems have led the DJ to playing support for multiple larger name artists at shows in the Midwest including Dabin, NURKO, MitiS, Crystal Skies, Chime, Ace Aura, Kaivon, and yetep.

Often songwriting about heartbreak & struggles with mental health, giving hope to his audience means everything to him. 
One of his most recent tracks, battling a war inside my head with Drawn To The Sky managed to accumulate over 100k streams in only a matter of a few months.

Although this world often seems like a dark place, ETHOS XCIX continues to shine attention on the darkest corners of hopelessness - ultimately presenting his listeners with a light.
