William Medagli, Thallulah & Shemsu mark their debut on ICONYC with their brand new single 'Arizona' that delivers a slice of early spring vibes. The track kicks things off nicely with its melancholic moodiness shining through as we meander effortlessly through club inspired melodies, while the sultry chords sit wonderfully on top adding an extra layer of depth. The trio's trademark beat manipulation is prevalent, as all manner of elements drift in and out of earshot. Perfect for beat loving club crowd and to get you in the mood for a big night out.

OIBAF & WALLEN, who need no introduction created a rework full of tension from the word go, as the atmospheric vibe subtly keeps you moving with warm tinkling sounds, a smooth edge and some nicely effected sounding pieces. We basically have the formula for a bit of a monumental outing. The sparseness is the key here, as their restrained gem works its magic while it plays away, creating a warm glow, creating an air of sophistication. "Essential stuff!"

Next up we have Paul Sawyer, the English maestro known for his polished sound, keeps the ethereal theme of the original alive, as the pulsating bass powers along, before its drum fills and general warmth all combine to do the talking. Like something from yesteryear, yet sounding fresh – His transcendent touch up takes the energy levels up a notch, but increases the melancholy with stripped back and lucid elements at the same time, before the luscious pads grace the rework changing the vibe and creating a blanket of warmth that wraps around the effected groove.

Last but not least we have a remix courtesy of Arash Shadram, who delivers a trademark deep melodic mix with infectious chords, intense drums and smooth breakdown. It's all about the groove, cool melodic vibes and the driving beats that are working their magic around Arash Shadram's wonderfully arranged keys that create an irresistible rhythm while clever chords take the mind on a trip.

ARPATEC is a project by the Ohral residents MAXIE KÖNIG and ALEX CONNORS. Both had been in 2020 already quiet sucessfull as "single artists" with releases on labels such as "POKERFLAT", "HARTHOUSE", "PLSTIC CITY", "BLUFIN" & their homebase "OHRAL RECORDINGS". Several high rankings at BEATPORT included.

Now they join forces for their new project called "Arpatec" which is focusing on straight and energetic techno music made to make you dance.

With the opening tune "Velvet" you immediately know what you can expect: an uncompromising bassdrum, energetic grooves and a very hypnotic vibe which all together create an atmosphere which cannot be resisted. This peak time monster definitely will carry away it's audience - no doubt.

n times of closed clubs due to a virus that cripples the world it's music that can give us comfort. "Hardy Heller & Alex Connors" have released some remarkable productions during those unbelievable crises. Their track "Colourblind" for example - released in October 2020, is still  turning its circles nowadays - some 3 months later - in the beatport deep house charts, the same does their track "Paris", released beginning of december as part of their "The French Connection EP" on their own imprint "Ohral Recordings".

"The French Connection Part 2" includes the track "Colmar".  Th original is some proper candy for all of you out there who appreciate a perky bassline, some solid grooves and hefty drums. Both guys, Hardy Heller & Alex Connors do not rely on a catchy hook but add their typical, very own ingredients to this track. The outcome is a thrilling hybrid that addresses both the cautiously hip-swinging dancefloor aspirants with some atmospheric sound design as well as the full-body workout enthusiasts that need their fair share of peak-time frenzy. 

The Remix by Matthieu B. - artists of the legendary "Plastic City" imprint - added some really cool old school patterns which we at "ohral" love immedateialy. A great interpretation by him  in our opinion.
