They say you never go back to the same place. I say you also never return to the same song. And if you do, you end up finding another shadow among jasmine. That’s what happens in Espiral: it starts in a garden where memory trips over your name and ends with an invisible embrace that leaves you shaking, both warm and cold at the same time.

There’s a place in Entre tus sombras y jazmín where everything is shy and sweet: time falls like dry leaves on an old tablecloth, the sun hides behind your eyes, and me, not sure if I’m singing or whispering, I keep my name safe in your garden. And there I stay, because leaving would mean getting lost.

Then, in Te hablé en silencio, one realizes talking doesn’t help. Better to whisper, stay in the mist, and make yourself invisible so you get seen anyway. It’s a cheap magic trick: being flower, seed, and spring without anyone noticing. Sad part: the other side has forgotten; beautiful part: you still wait, because waiting is what you do, even if it hurts, even if it’s ridiculous.

Next comes Lo que elegí, which has nothing heroic about it: walking through a desert is boring, dirty, and slow, and the stones don’t applaud. One wonders if someone is watching from afar —sure they are— and if they’re throwing shadows at you. Doesn’t matter. What matters is knowing that time drags everything, even your dumbest decisions, and that you leave traces without asking permission.

Then the coyote appears in Danza del coyote, a lovable son of a gun: breaks the order, makes you laugh, screams, and makes you realize that peace isn’t sleeping, it’s dancing over embers without burning too badly. A blind master of ceremonies: breaks you, rebuilds you, and makes you sing with throat and heart, even if you don’t know what you’re saying.

Then comes Lógica de Sol, and logic doesn’t matter. The sun doesn’t charge, doesn’t demand, doesn’t lie. You sing, you dance, you burn fears and applaud the tenderness whispering everywhere. No altars, no dictators; just a little light scratching your back, telling you everything’s fine, even if it’s not.

La Bicicleta, the bycicle: when you don’t know if you’re coming or going, but you pedal, and the world spins with you. Your body moves, wind slaps your face, and suddenly everything seems simple. Simple and extraordinary, like life itself.

Círculo Polar is the ending that feels like a beginning: cold, crystalline, icy blue. The soul purifies, sees its reflection in the ice. Contemplation calms the tremors, and the mind plunges into the quiet that precedes the end of the cycle.

Finally, Abrazo, the instrumental, closes the journey with a silent gesture: an embrace containing everything lived. No words, just resonance. Everything condenses here: memory, pain, light, shadow. The spiral closes, yet keeps spinning, because experiencing time is infinite.

In the end, Espiral isn’t an album. It’s a diary of inner adventures where you laugh, fall, get up, and ask yourself why the hell we keep listening to songs that make us tremble while time keeps falling like dry leaves.

We welcome the Israeli duo Yoni Yarchi & Tal Tager back to Loot Recordings with open arms. This is a special release that takes a dive deep into the world of emotive, thoughtful dance music that includes superb remixes by Powel and Rancido.
“In Another Dimension” is a heartfelt journey that reminds of playful, carefree days of summer with distant sounds of joyful children in the background. The throbbing bass and tight percussive groove is sprinkled with gentle piano melodies and guitar riffs that compliment the swelling synth lines and overall mood of the track. This is a musical affair that will have you dreaming and lost on the dance floor.
The first remix comes from Powel, a quality purveyor of melodic deep house on labels such as All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep and Kindisch. He delivers a wonderful interpretation that includes elements of the original, but includes his musical prowess and keen sense of musical storytelling. Lush pads, violins, tinkling pianos and memorable melodic riffs will stay with you long after you’ve heard it, encouraging you to return to it over and over.
Rancido, whose productions have appeared on quality labels such as Innervisions, Connoisseur and Still Var Talent, is one of the rising talents on the Dutch scene. His remix centers around an afro-beat, deep house vibe. The energy and tension continuously builds as a slow rising synth growls and grinds throughout the track, making this one perfect for the big moments of the night.

An avatar (Sanskrit: अवतार, IAST: avatāra), a concept in Hinduism that means "descent", is the material appearance or incarnation of a deity on earth. The relative verb to "alight, to make one's appearance" is sometimes used to refer to any guru or revered human being. The word avatar does not appear in the Vedic literature, but appears in verb forms in post-Vedic literature, and as a noun particularly in the Puranic literature after the 6th century CE. Despite that, the concept of an avatar is compatible with the content of the Vedic literature like the Upanishads as it is symbolic imagery of the Saguna Brahman concept in the philosophy of Hinduism.

A track I hold close to my heart, called “Alleghanys” is now out on When We Dip’s label XYZ as part of its annual Blanche compilation alongside many talented artists. This musical piece was the first one I worked on when the pandemic started back in March of last year. I spent most of the first months of these rather odd times in the hills of Quebec and was deeply inspired by the time I spent outdoors on the mountain by my home. I named the track after one of my favourite ski runs there, which I spent a lot of my time on during that period. Nature and mountains have always been a very big inspiration for my music, but I rarely get inspired by the depth and detail I did for this one. While hiking up ‘Alleghanys’ on one of the nicest days of last spring, the main theme and emotions I wanted to get across on the song came to my mind and I immediately took my phone to record a voice memo detailing what the track would feel like. About a month later, the song was completed, and from that point on, I couldn’t even believe it had been composed by me, as if it had become a story of its own. That’s when I knew it would be a special one, and I truly hope you will feel the same when you get to hear it for the first time 🗻❤️🌲
