Step2 records has been around since 2020 and has been supporting new producers in the UK Garage and bassline scene since then. The label is run by music producers (Dj Severe & Dj Pencil) for music producers. The Ethos is to provide open and honest dialogue with its producers and artists that sign up to the label. We believe that we are going to become the go to UK Garage label for any new producer wanting to get their first release to the general public. We provide feedback on all demos sent in to us (send to demos@step2records.co.uk) and generally respond within 48 hours.  The label has had support from BBC Radio One, BBC Introducing, Kiss FM, Rinse FM and many more with tracks featuring on Spotify editorial playlists and  large listener playlists aswell. We also have tracks released from some of the biggest names in the scene such as Tuff Culture, WZA, One Dark Martian, Groove Synergy (Ricky Magic Martin) The Legendary Ed Case and Speed Garage new school legend Daffy. We have countless top ten Chart entries with our releases and we continue to grow. Completely independent and always on the look out for the next big release.

A globally respected and highly accomplished artist, label boss at the seminal Hot Creations, founder and curator of the worldwide Paradise event series and member of cross-genre band Hot Natured, Jamie Jones has achieved iconic status in the electronic music world. A trendsetter and seasoned tastemaker, the Welsh dance music superstar pioneered his own distinct sound, drawing on his deep knowledge and experience to cultivate DJ sets that weave through a range of diverse, complementary styles selected to energise and enchant the dance floor.

Jodie Knight is a songwriter, vocalist and producer from Glasgow, Scotland. From her acoustic performance opening for Rick Astley on his 2018 tour, playing at Murrayfield Stadium (67,000 capacity) before the Scotland V Argentina game in 2022, to writing huge dance tracks played at Creamfields, her writing style spans many genres.

Jodie is fast building her catalogue of songs, with releases already on labels such as Ultra Records & Armada Music and upcoming on This Never Happened & Monstercat. In 2021 she graduated from Sir Paul McCartney’s performing arts university LIPA, with a first class honours degree in songwriting & production and since then has been constantly writing music and performing in venues around the UK.

Jodie continues to also write and produce for her own project, a more pop / acoustic vibe which she is focussing on more in 2023, with lots of releases to come over the next 12 months. Working with producers and other writers worldwide, both via zoom and in person, the past year or so she has built up connections with creatives from across the globe.
