I am a Canadian writer, reviewer and translator, back at last in British Columbia after many years in Ontario and Nova Scotia. 
I have a PhD in English Language and Literature from the University of Toronto, in addition to a BA and MA from Carleton University in Ottawa. 
I'm primarily a medievalist, but I love lots of different stuff. I've lectured and written on everything from Beowulf through Shakespeare to comic books and modern film. 
My first book, the Unsung, is a work of literary fantasy and it is available now at Chapters and Amazon.
