Gingaí is the tribal downtempo music project of Portuguese artist Henrique Saias, a rising talent in the global folktronica scene.  He is passionate about musical cultural heritage and traditions such as the Australian aborigines’ didgeridoo and the Afro-Brazilian art of capoeira.  His sound brings the sonic and vibrational essence of these and other cultures from around the world.

The Gingaí sound web is filled with tribal elements, warm synths and elaborate percussions.  In the stories he weaves, he’s as fluent in the meditative and transcendental as he is in the expansive ritual of dance.  His music floods the dancefloor with earthy basslines, rattles, driving groove and positive energy.

Gingaí - Pao Kanã Canto Da Floresta

The legend of South America's music is one of vibrant rhythms, passionate melodies, and diverse cultural influences. It's is a celebration of life. The music is also shaped by its indigenous roots, with traditional instruments like the charango, quena, and bombo adding unique textures to it. 
It is said that the music originated from the indigenous people of the Andes, who used it as a way to express their culture and traditions. The legend goes that the music was inspired by the natural sounds of the Andean landscape, including the wind, the rain, and the flowing rivers.

One of the most famous Andean instruments is the pan flute, which is said to have been created by the god Wiracocha. According to legend, Wiracocha made the first pan flute out of the bones of his dead children, and the music that came from it was so beautiful that it could bring the dead back to life.

Today, Andean music is still celebrated and enjoyed throughout South America and beyond. Its haunting melodies and intricate rhythms continue to captivate listeners and serve as a reminder of the rich cultural heritage of the Andean people. Especially because the music continues to thrive, with new generations of artists blending traditional sounds with modern influences to create exciting new styles. Landing back in Germany, my heart and spirit are asking directly again for South and Central America. So I felt I have to share the beautiful vibe of the music which inspired me a lot while traveling through so many countries. This is probably the most personal creation i have ever made
passing through significant gateways of life and death
weaved through one another with great forces 
two weeks ago, while i turned 35 weeks pregnant with my second child, my beloved mother passed away at 67 years old . 
gracfully returning her soul to source and her body to mother earth , we walked her in this transition to the next phase of her existence. 
while this new life coming very soon is pulsing inside me initiating me to my next evolution journey. 
this creation is a part of my process and i dedicate it to this very special and meaningful time of my life.
hope this soundtrack will support you on your journey with grace and connection to spirit.

This is the live recording from Dreamersland Festival 2023, an improvised Ecstatic Dance dj set made up of my favorite dance tracks from the last 4 years of djing in Ecstatic Dance events in Peru, Mexico, Costa Rica, Poland, Germany, UK, Romania, Greece, Norway, Japan. Normally in E Dance I would also play a slower ending to ground people back to meditative state but since it was a short set in a festival setting it was way more difficult to do it the traditional way.
