For the second episode of our Herbarium Podcast series, we are pleased to welcome French producer and DJ @vardaemusic. 
The co-owner of @cosmicwaverecords presents a powerful mixture of breaks and straight beats interspersed with irresistible grooves from the faster realms of our genre direction. 
For this mix we have chosen the shrub 'Genista', which can be found all over Europe. In autumn, the plant forms elongated legumes that can contain up to 30 tiny seeds. These are widely dispersed by a centrifugal mechanism, the movement of which evokes in us strong associations with Vardae's mix.

An extended mix from Rrose to celebrate our entry into 2023 and the upcoming release of TULIP SPACE [EAUX1591] available for pre-order now at https://eaux.ro/album/tulip-space and the upcoming full-length album PLEASE TOUCH (full announcement in Spring). The mix contains tracks from both releases.

This is a studio mix, started with an initial live take and then combed over meticulously with automated filters, eq, and fx. This is the same setup I use to play out, minus the automation. There is rarely a point when only one track is playing. I always try to find mixes that feel like a new track emerges from the combination. I imagine the optimal listening environment to be eyes-closed with headphones on, but I also hope you will feel an irresistible urge to move at some points ;)

Clear as spring water, the memory of Shoal's beautiful live set echoing through the Norwegian mountains, finally sharing the stage together at Monument (@monument-podcast) after meeting in Amsterdam several years ago. Those familiar with our dear friends at Harmony Rec (@harmony-rec) will be undoubtedly familiar with Kenny's impeccable body of work, and for the rest an eye-opening treat awaits.
