The Health Data Revolution: Improving Outcomes, Protecting Privacy

New England is leading the way in innovative clean energy financing -- but more can be done throughout the region to increase access to low-cost financing for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. On October 12th, the Ash Center hosted an event titled, “Innovating Green Financing: Green Banks in New England.” Listen in as Bryan Garcia, Executive Director of the Connecticut Green Bank (winner of the 2017 Innovations in American Government Awards); Carter Wall, Managing Director, Franklin Beach Energy; Jeffrey Schub, Executive Director, Coalition for Green Capital; and the Honorable Paul Mark, Massachusetts State Representative, 2nd Berkshire District; discuss the promising future of green banks in New England. Ash Center faculty affiliate Edward Cunningham moderates the conversation.

The 2018 Environmental Performance Index (EPI) ranks 180 countries on 24 performance indicators across ten issue categories covering environmental health and ecosystem vitality. These metrics provide a gauge at a national scale of how close countries are to established environmental policy goals. The EPI thus offers a scorecard that highlights leaders and laggards in environmental performance, gives insight on best practices, and provides guidance for countries that aspire to be leaders in sustainability.
