Dutch label Outplay is proud to present their first vinyl release - A collection of four deep, warm and fuzzy house tracks by Outplay co-owners Daniël Leseman and Junktion. While both Daniël Leseman and Junktion are showcasing their individual talent on the release, their new collaborative project Fouk sees the light of day for the first time. Influenced by the soulful house sounds of old Chicago and Detroit, this vinyl debut from Outplay shows you what they're all about.

“Expectations” is an extended player from minimalist disco outfit Harvey Sutherland and Bermuda. The second release for Sutherland’s own Clarity Recordings brings his Bermuda project into sharp focus - six tracks spanning Harvey’s influences from the West Coast to West End Records. 

Recorded with bandmates Graeme Pogson (drums) and Tamil Rogeon (electric strings), Expectations follows last year’s stomping label debut single “Priestess/Bravado”. 

The EP includes a long-awaited studio version of live favourite “Clarity”, uptempo burner “Coast 2 Coast” and a moment of spiritual introspection with “Spiders”. The title track offers glimmers of the Doobies and the ‘Dan – a sign of things to come from the Melbourne producer and his unique trio. 

Expectations 12” and digital will be released worldwide 24 March 2017, via Clarity Recordings. Distributed by Monocarpic (AUS/NZ) and Above Board Distribution (ROW).

After making waves a few years back via his Potatohead People project (with AstroLogical) and co-producing Illa J’s critically acclaimed self titled LP, Vancouver based playboy & producer Nick Wisdom steps out from behind the boards to deliver his first solo release for Bastard Jazz. 

The “Intimate Strangers” EP mines deep into Nick’s proclivities for disco, hip-hop, and house flavours. “Good Times” kicks things off with a snapping four on the floor, deep Rhodes chords and a rollicking bassline and vocals courtesy of Mr. Wisdom himself. “Feelin’ Alright” heads into outerspace disco territory with cosmic synths, walking bass, and sultry vocals courtesy of Reva Devito (HW&W, Kaytranada). On the flipside “Don’t Tell” brings in some 80s boogie vibes with downlow vocals from San Francisco’s K-Maxx, while “Rock The Cash Bar” is an instrumental party rocking hip-hop jam sounding like a modern day Showbiz & AG.
